General Information

  • Name: Reiji Sakurai (桜井零士)
  • Also known as: Reiji Isakura (さくらい れいじ)
  • Blood type: A
  • Soon after he won the BEMANI 2004 Vocalist Audition (see below), pictures of him with a pierced face with a chain attached to it were taken. This was digitally removed from photos before they were sent out to the public because, according to the pop'n music staff members, they "didn't want his pierced face to scare children from playing the game".

Profile

Reiji Sakurai (born January 26th, 1986) was for a while a frequently appearing vocalist in Bemani, who made his first appearance in 2004 when he won the BEMANI 2004 Vocalist Audition, alongside Kanako Hoshino and the members of BeForU Next. He then made his first appearance in pop'n music 12 いろは with the song For Dear~. After that, he became fairly active in the pop'n music and Guitarfreaks / drummania series, appearing in both games for several years after. Originally he was thanked for songs under his original name, but eventually changed it to RayZy, which stuck for the rest of his Bemani tenure.

Outside of Bemani, Reiji is a composer, guitar player, lyricist, and vocalist. He used to be a part of a band called Gylay up until March 28th, 2009. He is currently signed on with Japanese record company BIG TREE RECORD, who have provided jubeat plus licensed covers as of late. He's also worked on kors k's record label, QUADROID YUJI.
