- This is the OMES for AC DistorteD, and is playable after clearing the final Cardinal Gate song. The title can be translated as "Tree of Lamentation."
- The note charts for this song, having 902 notes, contain the most for any IIDX song in Normal/Hyper to date. It also has 2000 notes, thus it is tied with Mei for having the most notes for the Another chart.
- Along with the Cardinal Gate songs, it has a different color skin. This one has a gold colored skin.
- Kinjishi is believed to be DJ Taka's alias. Many players have guessed this by connecting DJ Taka's another alias, Lion Musashi, with the meaning of the word "Kinjishi", which is "Golden Lion". On 17 May 2007, this was confirmed by Konami as 嘆きの樹 was announced to appear on dj TAKA's album, "milestone".
