So I came across the delete template while "hanging around" the site, and also saw a few pages that needed to be deleted for various reasons (double/broken redirects, corrupt page name etc.). Question is: no one has used it in ages; can we use it to mark such pages for deletion (since most of us are not admins)?

* I mentioned before that I got approached by someone from Korea who wanted to translate the wiki into Korean with his friends and asked what you guys thought about having a Korean translation namespace for here but got no reply. I recently now have been approached by someone from China wanting to translate it into Chinese so I'll just ask it here, would you guys mind language specific namespaces? --Corin (talk) 08:47, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

With beatmania and MUSECA almost done, what should we cover next? BeatStream maybe? It's the only active BEMANI franchise we do not currently cover on this wiki. --M.B. (talk) 03:06, 11 March 2016 (UTC)

A solution I was thinking for this problem to clean up space on the pages was to write in the Trivia section with the following:<br>"Since (song name)'s debut on (arcade title or console title), it has received a couple of different banners in its appearance following it's debut. A gallery list can be found (song name/gallery|here)."<br>And in the new page, we can give a short description of the banners (pointing out what was changed). Consistency

I created the talk page for more of a discussion instead of a plan for RemyWiki. I've been curious.

  1. Are we trying to add Long versions of songs if possible to song pages?
  2. Adding translated lyrics?
  3. Adding romaji to lyrics?
  4. Translating song names into what they mean?

I realize the wiki is far from complete, but I thought it was best to maybe put this out so we can have a good base of what we can also add/may not need to add to the pages. I've seen some pages with romaji, translated song names, or more recently was someone deleting full/long version lyrics to make it more relevant to the lyrics that were only on the song. 1. Only to KONAMI originals.
  2. Yes.
  3. Yes.
  4. Not a priority. --FinalOffset (talk) 11:34, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
What makes the translated lyrics correct then? It would most likely be fan made and not official. I don't think is really needed for this wiki. Lau (talk) 03:35, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
  • Personally I don't mind as long as they're correct (as in, they make sense given the original lyrics). --FinalOffset (talk) 03:36, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
    • I'd agree with FinalOffset, as long as the lyrics are reasonably translated and make sense, they can be included. CardinalDan (talk) 03:51, 20 October 2014 (UTC)

Delete template

So I came across the delete template while "hanging around" the site, and also saw a few pages that needed to be deleted for various reasons (double/broken redirects, corrupt page name etc.). Question is: no one has used it in ages; can we use it to mark such pages for deletion (since most of us are not admins)?

I can see a few reasons why we shouldn't use it, like the reason could be subjective, deleting user pages, spamming of the template etc.. As an aside, I put this talk here (Todo List) cos I would look at the site maintenance pages once in a while. Pointaken47 (talk) 01:29, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

Technical specifications for games/hardware

  • What do you guys think about having the technical specs for these games/cabinets on here? imo it'd be a great addition as there's no real "central" place to get specs for these games and it could be useful for AC ops. I know a lot of users who'd love to contribute to this kind of thing. --Corin (talk) 08:47, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

Alternate languages

  • I mentioned before that I got approached by someone from Korea who wanted to translate the wiki into Korean with his friends and asked what you guys thought about having a Korean translation namespace for here but got no reply. I recently now have been approached by someone from China wanting to translate it into Chinese so I'll just ask it here, would you guys mind language specific namespaces? --Corin (talk) 08:47, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

Which BEMANI game to cover next?

With beatmania and MUSECA almost done, what should we cover next? BeatStream maybe? It's the only active BEMANI franchise we do not currently cover on this wiki. --M.B. (talk) 03:06, 11 March 2016 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I was thinking of covering BeatStream plus another inactive BEMANI series. KEYBOARDMANIA perhaps? --FinalOffset (talk) 13:43, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
    • BeatStream + KBM should be next probably. BS because it's active and KBM for its history of providing great tracks. Getting those out of the way would mean we'd only have inactive series left to work on, at least until Otoiroha and Nostalgia come along. --totally not by MENDES (talk) 15:48, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
    • DanceMaster/DanceEvolution series? (Most of the song pages have already been made, just need the note charts, any thoughts?) - QueenZ (talk) 22:33, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
      • Yeah, I forgot about DanceEvolution. That would be pretty easy to fill in, considering near all of its KONAMI originals and licenses have been in other BEMANI games. Dance Maniax would also be easy to fill in for the same reasons. It's pretty tied to DDR too, and if up to me I'd suggest that next, then KEYBOARDMANIA. --M.B. (talk) 22:43, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
  • So, we could work on both BeatStream and DanceEvolution next, given that are the only active BEMANI series left to cover, and whenever both are done, start with the other inactive series (Dance Maniax, KBM, FutureTomTom, etc.) until the release of OTOIROHA / NOSTALGIA. Thoughts? --FinalOffset (talk) 01:56, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
  • There is still the inactive series Dance Maniax, which is mentioned everywhere but somehow lacks its own section? --Czery (talk) 21:13, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
    • I'd say finish up the KBM pages first --totally not by MENDES (talk) 23:59, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

DanceEvolution time?

  • BeatStream is done. Time for more dancing? --M.B. (talk) 02:37, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

Art Gallery for songs with multiply banners

A solution I was thinking for this problem to clean up space on the pages was to write in the Trivia section with the following:
"Since (song name)'s debut on (arcade title or console title), it has received a couple of different banners in its appearance following it's debut. A gallery list can be found (song name/gallery|here)."
And in the new page, we can give a short description of the banners (pointing out what was changed). Any thoughts? - QueenZ (talk) 17:59, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
