The expansion to REFLEC BEAT VOLZZA. It was announced on March 2nd, 2016.

  • Release date: March 24th, 2016

General Information / Changes

  • Multiple gameplay UI changes were introduced:
    • The gameplay score display can now also display both current score and combo.
    • Rival OBJECTS can now be toggled on or off.
    • Score bonuses are split into 2 different but concurrent bonuses: the original MISS count bonus and a new one similar to the Upper Points used in REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! Upper.
  • All of the BEMANI MUSIC FOCUS and most of the KONAMI original songs new to REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! Upper (including the BEMANI SUMMER DIARY 2015 songs) are unlocked by default now.
    • Songs from other game events, or songs that required specific requirements for unlocking, are still hidden, as are FLOOR INFECTION songs.
    • All hidden songs from REFLEC BEAT VOLZZA are also still hidden, with the exception of all songs from the First to Third Phases of the Pastel-kun to Gakkii-hakase no dokidoki rhythm kenkyujou (パステルくんとガッキー博士のドキドキリズム研究所) event and all the ULTIMATE SURVIVAL event songs. All RENEWAL charts have also been unlocked for normal play.
  • All new VOLZZA 2 songs have SPECIAL charts, and are unlocked by number of plays on the song's HARD chart and clear rank:
    • one play with a AAA+ rank;
    • two plays with a AAA rank;
    • three plays with a AA rank;
    • five plays with an A rank and below.
      • Most SPECIAL charts from REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! and REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! Upper can also be unlocked this way.
  • Skill Rate has been introduced. Skill Rate is another difficulty rating system ranging from 1 to 90. This number varies with each level:
    • Level 1: 1~3
    • Level 2: 1, 4~6
    • Level 3: 4, 7~9
    • Level 4: 10~14
    • Level 5: 15~19
    • Level 6: 20~24
    • Level 7: 25~34, 40
    • Level 8: 27, 35~44
    • Level 9: 45~54
    • Level 10: 55~64
    • Level 11: 65~74
    • Level 12: 75~85, 87, 88
    • Level 13: 90

Hinatabi chikuwa-hime ketteisen (日向美ちくわ姫決定戦)

The Hinatabi chikuwa-hime ketteisen (日向美ちくわ姫決定戦) event started on February 24th, 2016 in GITADORA Tri-Boost, jubeat prop, MÚSECA, pop'n music éclale, and REFLEC BEAT VOLZZA.

Music GET

To unlock the following songs, players must raise the Chikuwa Gauge (ちくわゲージ) playing ひなビタ♪ songs. Do note that each song has its own Chikuwa Gauge, and that the songs must be unlocked on each participant game (progress does not carry over to other games).

Only 日向美ビタースイーツ♪ songs are eligible to raise the Chikuwa Gauge (except キモチコネクト, ツーマンライブ, and songs unlocked through this event). Depending if the 日向美ビタースイーツ♪ song features a solo member (i.e. neko*neko), two members (i.e. 滅びに至るエランプシス), or all members (i.e. チョコレートスマイル), the Chikuwa Gauge will raise by different amounts:

  • Solo songs will raise 2/3 of the Gauge for the character featured on the song.
  • Duet songs will raise 1/3 of the Gauge for both characters featured.
  • Group songs will raise 1/8 of the Gauge for all five characters.

Support the chikuwa princess

From February 24th to March 16th, 2016, players could vote for one of the 日向美ビタースイーツ♪ members in order to get her respective cover song from the Five Drops albums into each participant game. Players had to get a Membership Card by introducing a serial code given on the respective member's Five Drops album, or by filling the respective Chikuwa Gauge of the member on at least two games, and then collect chikuwa by playing 日向美ビタースイーツ♪ songs or by voting on the event website once per day.

The winner, Rin Shimotsuki, was announced on March 16th, 2016. Her cover song 黒髪乱れし修羅となりて～凛edition～ was added on April 18th, 2016.
