In Japan, KONAMI did extensive location testing for a new BEMANI series - ノスタルジア. After eight location tests throughout the summer, the game finally launched next year.

In North America, with the release of DanceDanceRevolution A, the e-AMUSEMENT service was extended to said region.

  • June 29th:
    • pop'n music éclale Original Soundtrack released.
    • GITADORA Tri-Boost Original Soundtrack Volume.02 released.

  • Unknown date: Another pachislot game based on beatmania IIDX, SEVEN'S BEAT -beatmania IIDX edition-, is released. Its marquee art is based on beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL. It also includes songs from other KPE series.
  • August 10th: MÚSECA 1+1/2 is released to Korean arcades.

October

  • October 1st: KONAMI undergoes a corporate restructuring, with Konami Digital Entertainment's arcade division merged with KPE (KONAMI's subsidiary for pachinko and pachislot titles) to form Konami Amusement. As a result some personnel who remained with Konami Digital Entertainment, such as TOMOSUKE, have been seen very infrequently in BEMANI since. All BEMANI games also received updates to reflect the new subsidiary they're under shortly thereafter.
  • October 19th:
  • October 26th: beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ is released to Japanese arcades.

  • November 23rd: SOUND VOLTEX ULTIMATE TRACKS -東方妖々夢 & 輝針城 REMIX- released.
