- POSSESSION is sampled in KHAMEN BREAK -SDVX Infinity MashUp-, from SOUND VOLTEX II -infinite infection-.
- A live version of POSSESSION was performed at the EXIT TUNES Dance Party -beatnation RHYZE music council- event. It was later added to DanceDanceRevolution (2014) as POSSESSION (EDP Live Mix).
- The beatmania IIDX version of POSSESSION has additional synths by the end of the song.
Trivia
- During the DanceDanceRevolution X2 location tests, POSSESSION was one of the FINAL STAGE-only songs, along with KIMONO♥PRINCESS.
- POSSESSION received brand new EXPERT charts in the final release of DanceDanceRevolution X2. Slightly modified versions of the location test EXPERT charts were later put as POSSESSION's CHALLENGE charts.
- It also received a slightly modified jacket in the final release of DanceDanceRevolution X2, now colored purple (instead of red) to represent its Replicant D-action color.
- POSSESSION is one of the Replicant D-action hidden songs in DanceDanceRevolution X2, representing the color purple. To play POSSESSION as a Replicant D-action song, you must get at least 100 difficulty ratings on CHALLENGE difficulty, then get AA/AAA on Pierce The Sky and Sakura Sunrise on the same difficulty.
- As of February 23rd, 2011, POSSESSION has been unlocked for normal play.
- Also, as of April 1st, 2011, POSSESSION's CHALLENGE charts have been unlocked for normal play.
- In the arcade DanceDanceRevolution titles, POSSESSION features a unique video. However, it plays in the background of a purple-colored version of the Replicant D-action background dance stage and is not full-screen.
- In DanceDanceRevolution II/DanceDanceRevolution hottest party5, POSSESSION's video removes any on-screen dancers and is played in a tiny monitor on the opposite side of the player on Single and in the center on Double/Versus, due to Nintendo Wii memory limitations.
- This video reuses five DDRMAX-EXTREME background movies.
- With 35 Freeze Arrows, POSSESSION's BEGINNER chart has the second highest amount of Freeze Arrows on any BEGINNER chart, beaten only by Over The “Period”'s 40.
- POSSESSION's BASIC charts held the record for the highest notecount of any BASIC chart, with 389 notes for Single and 379 notes for Double. These records were later broken by Elemental Creation's 438 notes for Single and 427 notes for Double.
- POSSESSION's EXPERT charts held the record for the highest jump count of any EXPERT chart, with 118 jumps for Single and 116 jumps for Double. These records were later broken by 灼熱Beach Side Bunny's 165 jumps for Single and 151 jumps for Double.
- POSSESSION is used as background music in a mission on the KONAMI arcade game ROAD FIGHTERS (ロードファイターズ).
- POSSESSION appears as downloadable content for DanceDanceRevolution S+, in the DDR X2 Special Pack 3.
- Also in DanceDanceRevolution S+, POSSESSION's BPM is wrongly displayed as 185-371 BPM.
- POSSESSION is currently the only song with its Double CHALLENGE chart rated Level 19 that doesn't have its Single CHALLENGE chart rated Level 19.
- POSSESSION's Single CHALLENGE chart is currently considered the hardest song in DanceDanceRevolution history for a player to claim a PERFECT FULL COMBO on, achieved by FEFEMZ on February 27th, 2014.
- POSSESSION is one of the unlockable songs of the Phase 2 of beatmania IIDX 23 copula's Mystery Line unlocking event, which started on May 26th, 2016.
- It retains its DanceDanceRevolution video.
- According to TAG, POSSESSION was never supposed to be crossed over to any other BEMANI game.
