Song Connections / Remixes
- Tohoku EVOLVED is part of the EVOLVED series of songs. Other songs in the series include:
- tokyoEVOLVED by NAOKI underground, which appears in DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY.
- osaka EVOLVED -毎度、おおきに!- by NAOKI underground, which appears in DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY 2.
- L.A. EVOLVED by NAOKI underground, which appears in DanceDanceRevolution UNIVERSE3.
- L.A. EVOLVED is similar sounding to tokyoEVOLVED and may be a remix.
- roppongi EVOLVED by TAG underground, which appears in DanceDanceRevolution X2.
- New York EVOLVED by NC underground, which appears in DanceDanceRevolution (2010).
- London EVOLVED by TAG underground, which appears in DanceDanceRevolution II / DanceDanceRevolution X3 VS 2ndMIX.
- Tohoku EVOLVED is a remix of London EVOLVED.
- Unlike most of the songs part of the EVOLVED series of songs, Tohoku EVOLVED does not have different versions which share the same intro part. Instead, Tohoku EVOLVED has 4 different charts with only the last jump being in a different corner in every version of every chart except Beginner.
Trivia
- Tohoku EVOLVED references the earthquake and tsunami that struck the Tohoku region of Japan on March 2011.
- When cleared, the usual "Cleared" message is replaced by a blue "Pray for All" message. This message is retained in DanceDanceRevolution (2013)
- Tohoku EVOLVED's BPM is shown as 340. However, Tohoku EVOLVED's real BPM is 42,5-1020. This is most likely because the game can show BPM in only three digits.
- This makes Tohoku EVOLVED the song with the highest BPM at any point (1020 BPM) in the DanceDanceRevolution series, topping the 800 BPM of Pluto Relinquish. In addition Tohoku EVOLVED has the highest BPM at any point in the whole BEMANI, topping Y&Co. is dead or alive's 876 BPM from beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS.
- During Tohoku EVOLVED the announcer does not speak anything else than combo announcements. The only other song to do this is PARANOiA Revolution.
- AAing any EVOLVED song on Extra Stage, which normally triggered Tohoku EVOLVED as ENCORE EXTRA STAGE, with the 'Wave' option on would not allow the player to access Tohoku EVOLVED for Encore Extra Stage. This is most likely a tsunami reference.
