Trivia

  • When ポン太と巡る世界の音楽 was first announced, the official website had the album listed as containing two CDs, with the second disc continuing from track 15. However, the final album is just one CD.
  • PRIMAL SONG is based on its long vocal version, and not the original instrumental game cut size.
  • CRIES IN THE WILDERNESS is based on the GuitarFreaks & DrumMania version of the song, despite having the same name as the original FIGHTING武術 version of the song.
  • Much like 猫叉Master's first album Raindrops, most of the songs in ポン太と巡る世界の音楽 are simply taken from their original BEMANI game soundtracks, with the following ten exceptions:
    • CARNIVAL DAY, Chinese Snowy Dance, 風に吹かれて三度笠ポン太, and the three FIGHTING武術 songs were all remastered.
    • BALALAIKA, CARRIED WITH THE WIND, which is completely re-arranged with higher pitched instruments and features a different vocalist (mira instead of Julie ann Frost).
    • 愛と勇気の三度笠ポン太 and Red Roses are extended.
    • ROOPA, whose drums are completely re-arranged.
    • アンデスの太陽, which is given an acoustic re-arrangement.
  • Song comments for Prelude and Mother Africa were posted on Izumi's blog.
    • Izumi revealed that Prelude is meant to be an abridged re-arrangement of Mother Africa, and that he recorded the song in a morning and mixed it by himself.
    • Mother Africa was originally planned to be based on traditional African music, but he ended up using orchestral instruments in the end because he felt like it would stray away from his image of Africa.
