Unlocks

Similar to the last MASTERPIECE title, unlocks are obtained via unlocking pieces of a hidden picture on a 4x4 square grid. The player must stop the symbols onscreen on the unrevealed square pieces, in a roulette-like fashion. The number of symbols the player receives depends on how well he/she performed during the runthrough. Note that symbols may land on already-revealed square pieces, which will not contribute to revealing the picture. When all pieces of the square are uncovered, a new skin, wallpaper, or song related to the hidden picture is unlocked.

This roulette may also be turned off in favor of time-released unlocks. Like before, ONLY time spent in Arcade Mode playing songs counts towards unlock time. Free Mode adds nothing.

Songs

The final five songs are obtained in the listed order after obtaining all other locked songs, wallpapers, and skins. The final five songs also have wallpapers that unlock with the song.

Time Unlocks

A skin, wallpaper, or song (except the final five songs as listed above) is randomly unlocked after 5 hours of play, and a new one is unlocked every 30 minutes through 24 hours of play. It starts with the following:

  • 5 hours - random song
  • 5.5 hours - random skin
  • 6 hours - wallpaper corresponding to the skin

After this, a random song, skin, or walllpaper is unlocked for every 30 minutes of gameplay up to 21.5 hours. The final five songs are then unlocked as follows:

  • Dragon Blade, VITALIZE, or この子の七つのお祝いり - random. One comes at 22 hours, the next at 22.5, and the last at 23.
  • MODEL DD4 - 23.5 hours
  • Concertino in Blue - 24 hours
