Release Information

• Release date: October 6th, 2000
• Soundtrack release date:
  • KEYBOARDMANIA 2ndMIX + consumer1 new songs: December 6th, 2000
    • The second disc includes two of the CS exclusives from KEYBOARDMANIA CS. Notably, this disc is the only commercial BEMANI release on a mini CD.

General Information / Changes

• Unlike KEYBOARDMANIA, all the songs in KEYBOARDMANIA 2ndMIX have song comments on the official website for the game.
• LIGHT difficulty is introduced, which is a more simple difficulty that only uses 13 keys instead of 24.
  • NORMAL is renamed LIGHT+.
• PRESSURE mode is introduced, which consists of four song courses. The gauge starts at 100%, but does not recover from any MISSes, even between songs.
• Videos for returning KEYBOARDMANIA songs were changed to generic videos that use various KEYBOARMANIA song clips.

PRESSURE Mode

• After having unlocked PRESSURE mode (via the method described in Unlock PRESSURE Mode), follow the steps below to activate it.

1. Start the game on either play side (P1 or P2).
2. On the SELECT PLAY MODE screen, push the wheel down and continue to hold it.
3. After a few audible clicking sounds, PRESSURE mode will appear and become available to select.

• You can go back to the other modes by pushing the wheel up.

Unlock Information

Unlock PRESSURE Mode

• Before you can activate PRESSURE mode on either play side (P1 or P2), you must first follow the steps below to unlock it.

1. Start the game on the P2 (right) side.
2. On the SELECT PLAY MODE screen, push the wheel down and continue to hold it.
3. Before the timer reaches 0, PRESSURE mode will appear and become available to select.

• After you have followed the above steps, the unlock state will be saved, and on subsequent plays you will be able to activate PRESSURE mode on either play side (via the method described in PRESSURE Mode).
