Trivia

  • Klungkung Palace (official name Puri Agung Semarapura) was a building complex in Semarapura, the capital of the Klungkung Regency (kabupaten) in Bali, Indonesia. It was well-known for its culture, including its arts, painting, dance and music. The grand majority of the palace was destroyed in 1908 after an invasion from the Dutch.
    • Gamelan is also a type of music originating from Bali, Indonesia, hence Klungkung 1655's genre name.
    • According to Kiyotaka Sugimoto's peing page, the 1655 in Klungkung 1655 comes from his total purchase amount in yen at a convenience store after creating this song.
  • Klungkung 1655 is one of the crossovers part of pop'n music 12 いろは's pop'n hiden ninpouchou (ポップン秘伝忍法帖) event. It could be unlocked through the AKI (秋) scroll from March 2nd to April 13th, 2005.
  • USAO-kun's clothes reflect the Japanese holiday Autumnal Equinox Day (秋分の日, Shuubun no hi). It is a holiday for showing respect to one's ancestors.
    • USAO-kun does not have a 2P color.
  • Klungkung 1655 was removed from the BEMANI category in pop'n music Sunny Park.

A Japanesque gamelan techno exploding with captivating melodies and bursting rhythms

When I replaced the unique gamelan gong kebyar used in Balinese ensemble music, with a 12 equal temperament to make it easier to play on a keyboard, it somehow ended up sounding like a Japanese folk song, but if you're interested, I'd like you to listen to an authentic gamelan as well.

DJ SIMON

Originally, I composed this song under the simon alias for Keyboard mania 3rd mix, and I think pop'n music was either 5 or 6 around that time. I'm also happy to be able to hear songs from back then.
The pop'n button layout might be a bit similar to that of a gamelan instrument.
Come to think of it, the gamelan is music from Southeast Asia, so it's a bit strange that it's included in a Japanesque-themed pop'n installment.

The busier I'm working here, the more USAO & Hikki rampage around.
This time, they're doing a series of pointless actions, such as abduction, lottery, pogo-sticking, and imaginary dueling.
Why did this movie turn out like this?
I also don't know.

Character Information

The captivating melody and bursting rhythms are powerfully exploding. USAO-kun heads out to the fall festival. Happy happy.

Is there a season for gamelan? Despite thinking this, at the beginning of its KEYMANI movie, the windmill keeps spinning round and round, and he's happy. It might be fall festival-like! That's it! That's right! It felt like this. Is that so? I don't really remember the chaotic latter half in the past that I want to forget....
I remember saying "let's make it Asaki-like here and make a feint☆" while planning the scroll. Some parts became quite meaningless and empty.

His animations use VJ YUZ's cool movie as reference, and this time, there are bones in his ears. (In 3DCG terms)
I love how only the "creepiness" of USAO's cute and creepiness increased.
I asked MORO to add the regrettable lottery scene.
His "cuteness" properly increased, and this nutritional balance is perfect. Please wait for further information.

Kobaken

I'm surprised that it's so cool. I thought this song had wonderfully great parts.

Chihi

Even though I listened to it many times, I still can't remember the song title... USAO's key point is the underwear inside his red kimono (it's vivid), and I wonder if it's because his pants were a subtly different color.

masaru

Even if you make a mistake or randomly play it, this song ends up sounding like that! pop'n can also be a satisfactory musical instrument.

Seiya Murai

I wanted to try and play this song in pop'n someday!

wac

I wanted to have a gamelan event, and of course I'm lying, but we first decided to cross it over as usual, and after that, we focused on which season it'd be included in. However, there were divided opinions. Personally, I thought that the gamelan and Bali naturally suited summer, but theories such as USAO's year-end lottery in KEYMANI, and windmills being fall-like, continued to rise and we couldn't gather them all, so to compromise, I called it the fall festival, not from what season it's in, but from what season they'd like it to be. We've all become adults too. When you're over 20 years old, time goes by in an instant.
