Tomoko Okada was a Japanese singer-songwriter, keyboardist, composer, disc Jockey, and record shop manager from Okayama Prefecture.

Tomoko learned piano from a young age and began playing in a band when she entered high school. While attending university in Fukuoka, she worked part-time at a large import record store, where she was exposed to a wide range of music. She began her activities as a member of Instant Citron around 1992. She was in charge of vocals, keyboards, songwriting, etc. Since the mid-2000s, she had composed music solo for many programs aimed at children on NHK Educational TV, as well as for TV anime and commercials.

Tomoko passed away from cancer on the night of October 20th, 2020. She was 51 years old. The news was announced on October 24th by her agency and her husband on Twitter.
