Trivia

  • Macuilxochitl marks Tomosuke Funaki's first original song in the jubeat series.
  • Macuilxochitl (pronounced ma-cil-show-chit-tle) is the Aztec god of art, sports, music, dance, flowers, maize, and song. The word means "five flowers."
  • Macuilxochitl is obtained in jubeat ripples upon reaching the rank of Gold Lion.
  • Macuilxochitl's jubeat BASIC chart was the first BASIC chart rated level 7.
  • According to Tomosuke in his twitter, Macuilxochitl was originally a song made for beatmania IIDX. However, the jubeat staff wanted to have a jazzy classic piano song in their installment. The prototype of Macuilxochitl has a faster tempo and used four pianos, and it became Almagest in beatmania IIDX 17 SIRIUS after it was remixed by Galdeira.
  • Macuilxochitl is available in pop'n music 19 TUNE STREET as part of the APPEND FESTIVAL event, which started on March 7th, 2011. Playing the song in pop'n music will unlock キルト in jubeat knit APPEND.
  • SMOKE's default animation is reused from Ergosphere, though most (if not all) of his other animations are brand-new.
  • Macuilxochitl was the last KONAMI original from jubeat ripples to appear in jubeat plus, appearing in music pack 20.
  • Macuilxochitl received an EASY chart on December 12th, 2012 in pop'n music Sunny Park, replacing its old 5-Buttons chart.
  • Macuilxochitl was removed from jubeat saucer on May 1st, 2013. It was later revived on June 17th, 2013.
    • It was removed again on October 1st, 2013. It was revived again on December 1st, 2013.
  • Macuilxochitl can be unlocked in beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ from July 20th, 2017 as one of the Wind school (風巻流) songs of the Ninnin shichikenden (忍々七鍵伝) unlocking system.
