pop'n music アニメロ2号
Release Information
- Release date: September 21st, 2000
General Information / Changes
- pop'n music アニメロ2号 (Animelo Nigo, Animation Melody No.2) is the second and final game of the アニメロ pop'n music spin-off series. Unlike the first アニメロ game, アニメロ2号 doesn't have a CS counterpart (some アニメロ2号 songs appeared in CS releases of the main series, though).
- HYPER charts were added to the game, though not every new song has one. Some songs from the first アニメロ game received HYPER charts as well.
- pop'n music アニメロ2号 no longer uses musical notes to denote difficulty. Instead, it shows a number indicating the difficulty.
- In addition to this, the difficulty scale was expanded from a previous limit of 5 to 7.
- No new songs for the Second stage were added. However, とんちんかんちん一休さん was moved from being a Final stage song to being a Second stage song.
- Also, タイガーマスク was moved from Second stage to First stage as well.
- Both Hidden songs from pop'n music アニメロ are still Hidden songs on pop'n music アニメロ2号. Two new Hidden songs were added as well.
- Three new modes were added: Gun, Bowling and Expert.
- Hidden commands Double and Triple were added to Excite mode, which duplicate or triplicate, respectively, every existing note in a chart into chords of up to nine notes.
- First BEMANI project worked on by Chihiro Inoue, who would years later become a recurring artist for the main pop'n music series.
- The early JAA version of pop'n music アニメロ2号 (labeled JAA, whereas later versions are labeled JAC) had a NONSTOP MODE accessed via a hidden command.[1][2][3][4]
- The command is 149614961496, input on the title screen before starting the game.
- NONSTOP MODE allows a player to theoretically play through every song in the game in one play session, as it does not end until the player fails a song.
- Total songs: 35
