General Information

  • Released: Fall 1998
  • This game ran on the beatmania game engine, hence the poor graphic quality as opposed to later games in the series. The series would continue to run on the beatmania game engine until the fourth installment (Pop'n Stage also ran on the beatmania game engine).
  • Two of the game's composers, Reo Nagumo and Takeyasu Hiroshi, also worked on the original beatmania. Both would stay around to write music almost every game in the series.
