- pop'n music MICKEY TUNES is a pop'n music spin-off containing exclusively Disney related music, much like DanceDanceRevolution and its spin-offs Disney's RAVE and ディズニーダンシングミュージアム.
- First pop'n music title where ratings can have decimals.
- Features hold notes (named "Keep-kun", キープくん), similar to the ones in KEYBOARDMANIA and the later implemented in the beatmania IIDX series since beatmania IIDX 17 SIRIUS.
- Like pop'n music 4, pop'n music MICKEY TUNES features backdrops instead of the regular backgrounds used by most of the main series games.
- An updated version, simply titled pop'n music MICKEY TUNES!, adds the NET@MANIA mode.
- Total number of songs: 14.
