X3 VS 2ndMIX
- Fix colors
- Same system in 2014 except: 1 Red Star for using the LIFE GAUGE (LINK) modifiers RISKY or LIFE4. The player will get the star even if he fails. Will also work using the modifier CUT. (Since 2014?)
EXTRA STAGE / ENCORE EXTRA STAGE
- EXTRA STAGE Requirement
In order to access the EXTRA STAGE, X3 introduced the "Result Star System", a feature available only when playing via e-AMUSEMENT in PRO Mode. To unlock the EXTRA STAGE, the player have to get 9 Result Stars during a game or multiple games, the Result Stars are carried over from play session to another using e-AMUSEMENT. Once the player unlock the EXTRA STAGE, the 9 Results Stars are used, thus removed. When using VERSUS PLAY, once one player have 9 stars, the EXTRA STAGE is unlocked and both players Stars will be used in the process. The colors of the Star have no importance, only the amount (9) is required to unlock the EXTRA STAGE.
Result Stars are given to the player(s) under specific conditions:

The player can only obtain a maximum of 3 Result Stars for each song played. Thus, some type of Result Stars have priority over the other stars:
- White, Yellow or Light Blue Star > Green Star > Red Star > Dark Blue Star.

For example, a player getting AAA on his first song of the day will receive three stars and the Daily Star won't be used (2verif, in newest version the DS is kept?). The Star(s) that was lost in this process are not carried over in the next game, it is lost forever. Also, no Star is given for a D or failing a song.
- ENCORE EXTRA STAGE Requirement
To unlock the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE, the player have to get an AA or AAA on the EXTRA STAGE song. No Result Star are needed in this case.
Unlock Schedule
Even though the Result Star replaced the previous system, the unlock schedule kept the same logic behind it. New songs are added as ENCORE EXTRA STAGE at first and as time goes on, they are lowered to the EXTRA STAGE before being unlocked for everyone later. A new addition in X3, new songs were also added directly as EXTRA STAGE, skipping the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE phase. By 11/05/2012, all the songs introduced as EXTRA/ENCORE STAGE were unlocked for normal play.

EXTRA TOUR
"EXTRA Tour" was announced on May 12, 2012 and started on May 14, 2012. In this event, new songs were added as Extra Stage. They appeared in specific regions at first and moved to other regions each day.
- 4 routes with each a related song. Each of these songs have 3 variations.
After playing all Extra Tour songs at least once, scoring AA or better on Expert on any of these songs unlocks the Encore Extra Stage, Tohoku EVOLVED. The Extra Tour event was ended on July 22, 2012 and all songs were unlocked for regular play.

2ndMIX Mode / CROSSOVER DDR

CROSSOVER DDR
- Add more details, dates, etc.
- New BGN charts, CLG, only for those that didn't have CLG charts before.
On August 2, 2012, the "CROSSOVER DDR" event was announced. During the event, players can unlock every 2ndMIX songs for play on X3's PRO Mode. The two exceptions are HERO, as the song is already in X3 (using the X-edit version from X2) and PARANOiA MAX~DIRTY MIX~(in roulette), as there is no Roulette option in X3.
- Single Play: Playing all three difficulties (BASIC, ANOTHER, MANIAC) in 2ndMIX Mode unlocks BEGINNER(?) and CHALLENGE charts for that song in PRO Mode or in QUICK PLAY.
- Double Play: Playing BASIC and ANOTHER charts will unlock both CHALLENGE and EXPERT charts.
- Completing all of the songs in either of 2ndMIX Mode's sub-modes (NORMAL or HARD) will unlock that sub-mode's EXTRA STAGE in Pro Mode. in total, three boss songs also can be unlocked through this event.
- Clearing all charts in NORMAL mode of the 2ndMix mode will unlock TRIP MACHINE EVOLUTION in EXTRA Stage.
- Clearing all charts in HARD mode will unlock PARANOiA Revolution.
- Scoring AA or better on these two songs on EXPERT unlock the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE, LOVE IS THE POWER Re:born in X3.
- The new songs are also playable in 2ndMIX Mode.
- As of November 5, 2012, all songs are fully unlocked for everyone.
