Mutsuhiko Izumi

This DD series is progressive blues in odd time signatures.

The guitar solo is not in the same key as the backing and the song.
Something's strange, isn't it??? But that's okay.

So I asked them to make the clips look strange as well.

Video Production Information

mito

Hi, this is mito.
I was in charge of porting the movie to the game console.
I was surprised when I saw the data that came in... eek!
"Wow! I'm taking out my business card!!"
And then something like "There's no choice but to get them to exchange business cards!!"
"Parachute troops with dogs are coming down!!"
And then something like "There's no choice but to come to the rescue at the drum solo!!"
I enjoyed this in many ways.

Shock! Shudder! Surprise!
The DD series has undergone a dramatic image change!

Those who have already seen it in the arcade may have been quite surprised at first.

The design team was also surprised.

Mr. Izumi said

"This is how I want it to look this time."

And when he brought some CDs with him...
they were totally different. What am I going to do!

We don't have anyone who can draw like this...

Fortunately,
Mamoru Nakano, who loves to draw pictures like this,
had his hands full again, so I pushed him into working on the project.

It was a bad thing to do on a daily basis, but I was really attached to it.

The porting work was pushed to mito, which was relieving.

In the midst of a raging schedule before the upload,
he finished the clip full of stories with a grin on his face.

I'm really sorry for everything.

Mamoru Nakano

Greetings~.
I am a person who makes a modest living
by doing illustrations and cartoons,
but this is my first major job like this,
and I was worried that I was strangely new to this.

In the production process, I was asked to listen to the song "like a daydream",
and I took the liberty of imagining a robot company employee named "DD5"
who goes a little crazy and runs amok.
Although it is a personal experience, I hope it will convey,
even if only in a small way, the dreamlike sensation
that I always have when I get a fever.
