REFLEC BEAT Class modes
In the history of REFLEC BEAT, two distinct Class modes have existed. In REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! and REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! Upper, the REFLEC DOJO, specifically its Nintei Shiken (認定試験) courses, served as a method of ranking players. It used kyu and dan ranks, similarly to the beatmania IIDX Daninintei Courses system, up to 8th dan, with higher courses above it having different names.
From REFLEC BEAT VOLZZA onwards, the CLASS CHECK MODE was introduced, which included set courses of three songs each and used a numerical system.
REFLEC BEAT groovin'!!
For all Nintei Shiken courses in REFLEC DOJO, the player is given a choice of 3 songs on 1st ROUND, 2 songs on 2nd ROUND and only 1 song on FINAL ROUND.

This game saw the debut of CLASS CHECK MODE.
