Biographical Information

Shintaro Mukai was the very first illustrator and CG design artist of the pop'n music series, being the exclusive animator/designer of all 18 characters in the original pop'n music arcade title, most notably mascots Mimi and Nyami. His only known contribution to BEMANI was the very first pop'n music title; he has not been seen since.
