This is the first appearance of Hyper notecharts in the series. Very few songs have them, though.
This is the first Pop'n Music game to keep track of your note combo.
This is the first game with courses. Unlike later games, there's only three songs a course.
Katoaka Tsugumi (Parquets), Atsushi Shindo, and Kume Yuki (Q-Mex) make their debut in the series.
This is the last arcade version to run on BEMANI DJ-MAIN HARDWARE arcade system.
The soundtrack in this game is the last one to combine both the arcade and the console-exclusive songs from its PlayStation / Dreamcast counterpart on the same CD.
The songs Bit of Love, Let me feel so high, and ENDRESS SUMMER NUDE were never released on a soundtrack, probably due to licensing issues.
