- Konami announces that they are considering making beatmaniaIIDX 7th style after over a year of hiatus. To proceed, players would have to fill out 10,000 questionnaires.
- October 22nd, 2003
- 10,000 questionnaires are filled out.
- November 27th, 2003
- Pre-orders begin for beatmaniaIIDX 7th style. Konami announces they must receive at least 20,000 pre-orders to release the game.
- December 25th, 2003
- beatmaniaIIDX 7th style is officially announced.
