KONAMI officially launches a BEMANI series in with ノスタルジア (NOSTALGIA), which had made its debut the year prior in JAEPO 2016. ノスタルジア is a spiritual successor of the KEYBOARDMANIA series, as it focuses on piano-based gameplay, although it has several differences to its predecessor both in gameplay and in cabinet design.
Unfortunately, 2017 also marked the end of the BeatStream series. Unlike the DanceEvolution and ミライダガッキ FutureTomTom series, no offline patch was released for BeatStream アニムトライヴ, and the series went offline permanently on September 1st. Instead, KONAMI offered arcade operators a conversion kit to change their BeatStream machines to ノスタルジア ones.

Upon its return in July, it will be hosted by Yuki Nakashima alongside various other commissioned/contest artists, aired far less frequently, and no longer have any in-house BEMANI staff on the show.
- June 30th: Jin Senbonmatsu leaves KONAMI after 11 years with the company.
