Source

I'm curious about the "It is rumored that KONAMI merged with a pachinko company that has very strict policies on public appearances of its personnel and staff" quote, since this is my first time reading about it. Is there any source for the rumors? --FinalOffset (talk) 18:56, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Designers

Don't know if there should be a page for designers too or if the rules can be merged in this article but one thing I noticed is Kaito is "BEMANI Designers" in Initiation yet he's explicitly credited in Cloud Crasher, which debuted 3 months later. The same goes for a lot of 蒼弐's stuff given she's the art director for SDVX (I'm assuming she's in-house, correct me if I'm wrong). Guess they're just BEMANI Designers "<name>" in movies but can still get away with it in jackets? --t7r (talk) 20:06, 16 April 2019 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure about this, but I think that they have to be credited as BEMANI Designers (name) in official websites and such (i.e. Rootage website, and how pedigree's jacket is credited on the jubeat anniversary site), while in-game they don't appear to have those restrictions. This is just my theory though. --FinalOffset (talk) 20:15, 16 April 2019 (UTC)

Reasoning

  • Found a tweet (I think this was an conference with shareholders?) regarding why this was done. What I'm getting at is more on "focusing on content" rather than the staff now which may explain the reduction of public appearances. [2] --t7r (talk) 14:20, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

Edit request: Departure of HARDCORE_TANO*C

Under "Effects on BEMANI as a whole", Please add the following:

  • HARDCORE TANO*C members (with the exception of Shohei Uno) ceasing song contribution to BEMANI following KONAMIs rejection of their song submission for The 8th KONAMI Arcade Championship, BATTLE NO.1 which was credited to TANO*C SOUND TEAM. Could probably be rephrased but I feel it's a pretty significant effect from the rebranding. Movesp (talk) 13:51, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Is there any proof of this being the catalyst of their separation? Songs from them were still in BEMANI until nearly a year after the BST branding. --M.B. (talk) 00:46, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
      • As I wrote, it happened as part of the KAC 8th song submission (late 2018). Source for it originally being created for 8th KAC can be found in the description of the official video.
Here is what I could find on each member with a last appearance past the KAC 8th submission window. (2018/11/12-2018/12/4)[1]
Artist Final game appearance (song release date)
Aran DDR A20 (May 30th, 2019)
DJ Genki DDR A20 (March 20th, 2019)

REDALiCE SDVX VW (February 28th, 2019)
t+pazolite SDVX VW (February 28th, 2019)
USAO DDR A20 (March 20th, 2019)

I'll try find more information if possible.Movesp (talk) 02:47, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
