Hiroshi Takeyasu
Artist Information
- Name: Hiroshi Takeyasu (竹安弘)
Profile
Hiroshi Takeyasu (born July 9th, 1966) is one of the earliest BEMANI artists, working in the original beatmania along with Reo Nagumo and Tomomi Ohta. He was a big contributor to pop'n music, and was the sound director of the first four arcade games. Hiroshi also worked as a sound supervisor in beatmania IIDX for beatmania IIDX 4th style and 5th style.
In 2001 Hiroshi left the pop'n music team to go work as the music producer for DDRMAX2 and DanceDanceRevolution EXTREME. He returned to the pop'n music team again in 2003, where he stayed until his eventual departure from the series altogether.
Prior to working on beatmania, Hiroshi Takeyasu composed music for some of KONAMI's arcade/NES games, his work dating as far back with the company as the mid-1980's.
Hiroshi stopped contributing music to BEMANI after pop'n music 15 ADVENTURE, though he continued to work on BEMANI albums as an A&R director until 2012.
