狂热节拍IIDX

Release Information

  • Location test dates:
    • May 20th, 2011
    • May 27th to 29th, 2011
  • Release date: May 30th, 2011

General Information / Changes

  • The first Chinese beatmania IIDX release. The interface and songlist are based on beatmania IIDX 18 Resort Anthem, though with a much smaller songlist, and the following differences:
    • 狂热节拍IIDX uses the Chinese versions of the various IIDX songs found in DanceDanceRevolution X2.
    • Turntables for both 1P and 2P are on the right, similar to beatmania.
      • Despite this, all in-game graphics of the cabinet feature a Japanese beatmania IIDX cabinet, with the 1P turntable on the left side.
    • eAMUSEMENT service is not supported.
    • Effects and LED display are removed.
      • The EFFECT and VEFX buttons are relabeled CTRL1 and CTRL2 respectively.
    • EXPERT MODE courses contain different songs from Resort Anthem, due to the smaller music selection.
    • Default player name is BMIIDX, as opposed to IIDX18.
    • Title screen refers to the game as beatmaniaIIDX Fever beat IIDX in English, as opposed to beatmania IIDX 18 Resort Anthem.
    • All songs are grey on the songlist, even the Resort Anthem songs.
    • Selection categories contain only the following now: RATING, ALL ALPHABET, and ALL DIFFICULTY.
      • The default songwheel folder is now LEVEL 1.
    • BEAT #1 (the initial release) has no EXTRA STAGE or ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE; these were added in BEAT #2.
  • Although BEAT #3 can be accessed through a code, it seems that during the game's original lifespan, cabinets were not unlocked past BEAT #2.
    • According to the distributor's website, they sent representatives to each arcade to unlock BEAT #2. It does not appear that they ever unlocked BEAT #3, nor published codes for arcade operators to upgrade to BEAT #2 or BEAT #3 themselves.
  • Total songs: 229
