ee'mall

In early 2006 Konami ceased support for its ee'mall machines, which allowed players to unlocks song to play from other Bemani series (and the occasional new song) by the usage of a card into certain Pop'n Music / Guitar Freaks / drummania cabinets. To get the points to play the songs, however, you had to play various minigames, in which afterwards you can purchase the songs to play in certain arcade Pop'n Music mixes. The ee'mall crossovers have had mixed reactions in the Pop'n committee, especially when the home versions make some of these songs playable. Certain songs have been criticized as being off, such as Airflow and many of the ee'mall originals. One last note: none of the songs contain new backgrounds, miss animations, or character sprites. Everything aside from the note charts themselves are recycled from past Pop'n games (for example, Akumajo Dracula Medley features Yuli with his sprite from Pop'n Music 4, along with the Pop'n Music 3 miss background).
