- DanceDanceRevolution X CS (Japan) is released in Japan for the Sony PlayStation 2. It is the final Japanese DanceDanceRevolution title released on the PlayStation 2.
- DanceDanceRevolution X & フルフル♪パーティー Original Soundtrack released.
February
- February 7th: Jason Borenstein passes away. The position of sound director for the DanceDanceRevolution arcade titles would later be given to Yasuhiro Taguchi.
- February 14th: pop'n music Cafe music selection, a compilation of bossa and lounge covers of pop'n music songs, is released.
- February 17th: 猫叉Master's first album, Raindrops, is released.
- February 27th: jubeat ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK released.

- March 4th: pop'n music 17 THE MOVIE is released to Japanese arcades.
- March 21st: The first album of The Epic of Zektbach media project, The Epic of Zektbach -Ristaccia-, is released.
- March 26th: DanceDanceRevolution Winx Club is released in Europe for the Nintendo Wii. It is the first European DanceDanceRevolution game to keep the series' original title in Europe (all previous games were released as Dancing Stage).
- March 27th: Hideyuki Ono's first solo album, over there, is released.

- April 8th: Kanako Hoshino's second album, Prism, is released.
- April 9th: GuitarFreaks V6 & DrumMania V6 BLAZING!!!! are released to Japanese arcades.
- April 24th: beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK released.

- May 12th: 熱舞革命宇宙3 中文曲特别版 is released in China for the Xbox 360. It is the Chinese version of DanceDanceRevolution UNIVERSE3.

- June 3rd: DanceDanceRevolution X is released to European arcades.
- June 6th: DanceDanceRevolution hottest party2 is released in Europe for the Nintendo Wii.
- June 9th: DanceDanceRevolution X is released to North American arcades.

- good-cool's third and final album published by KONAMI, good-cool crazy operation, is released. All future albums of his would be published under his own circle.
- pop'n music 17 THE MOVIE original soundtrack released.

- August 5th: jubeat ripples is released to Japanese arcades.
- August 6th: ポップンミュージック is released in Japan for the Nintendo Wii.
- August 28th: marble, milestone, and SYNTHESIZED are all re-released each with slightly altered content. These re-releases are tagged with the subtitle "Re Edition".

- Naoyuki Sato's second album, Backdrops - and the only one released under his 猫叉Master+ alias - is released.

- beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS + PREMIUM BEST is released in Japan for the PlayStation 2. It is the final beatmania IIDX title to be released on the PlayStation 2.
- Ryu☆'s first album, starmine, is released.
- October 21st: beatmania IIDX 17 SIRIUS is released to Japanese arcades.

- Yoshihiko Koezuka's first album, DREAMS, is released.
- GuitarFreaksV6 & DrumManiaV6 BLAZING!!!! Original Soundtracks released.
- October 27th:
- DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY3 is released in North America for the Nintendo Wii.
- DanceDanceRevolution X2 CS is released in North America for the PlayStation 2. It marks the final PlayStation 2 DanceDanceRevolution release in any region, and the final BEMANI title on that system.
