Character Backstory

Arcadia (Goli's Graphic Gallery) / IIDX Bible

Making her debut in 3rd style, Celica's exact place and date of birth are unknown. An 18-year-old[note 1] who is not very good with cats. Erika is her identical twin sister. Her biological father is a famous pianist who performs all over the world. Her biological mother kept the birth of Erika and Celica a secret from her biological father, and during a snowstorm, she entrusted Erika and Celica to an orphanage in Hokkaido, where she died. After that, Celica became the adopted daughter of a couple living in Fukuoka before her memories developed, and was raised with care as the only daughter. In addition, she wasn't informed of her adoption. When she turned 16, Celica was allowed to move to Tokyo, where she had a fateful reunion with Erika in Shinjuku.[1]

Since then, the two have been on good terms, playing IIDX together and going to clubs every day. Neither of them knew they were sisters. It's been three years since Celica started playing IIDX. She is currently a first-year art student living alone in Tokyo. She is an apprentice/kouhai of Q-Jack and is studying production set design (staging, lighting, etc.). Among IIDX songs, She likes those by NAOKI and DJ TAKA, and especially likes bright and lively sounds. She participates in various events with Erika and enjoys the IIDX life with Yuz and Shi-low.

Recently, she has been concerned that Erika has been acting distant from her. Erika seems to be having problems, but unlike usual, she doesn't talk to her about them. Thinking that it must be a very important problem, Celica plans to quietly watch over Erica until she confides her concerns to her. Rather than having a boyfriend, she enjoys playing IIDX and other games with her friends every day. But she is starting to develop a faint crush on a certain guy. He is different from her friends, and for some reason, she blushes when around him. She is cheerful, but she is also quite shy. Today, she is still going straight for the pure-hearted maiden path.

Character Backstory

Arcadia (Goli's Graphic Gallery)

Celica's twin sister. "I am currently working as a walking mannequin at my 10th part-time job, ROOTS26, for a low wage. I end up getting free clothes instead as compensation."

On her 18th birthday (inaccurate), she was informed by her adoptive father that she was an orphan and had a younger sister. "In the fire at the orphanage two and a half years ago, everything, including my records and the address book of my sister's place of care, was burned. Currently, the only clue to finding my sister is a vague memory from before I could remember anything. My first memory, which I had several dreams of, was of 'A small child crying after being scratched by a cat in the park playing a prank.'

I can't remember the child's face." Among IIDX's playmates, she likes pranks and has a strong image of always smiling,

"It is also the flip side of the helpless loneliness that I feel when I know my sister's existence. Only Shi-low, who is a friend, is talking about her. Working part-time to save even a little money, building a computer and being in the internet world are all means of searching for the younger sister of memory.

In IIDX, I like songs with powerful sounds and bright images. I hope that my sister is laughing and playing the same song somewhere as I am, so I will work hard at my part-time job today as well."

Duel

Character Backstory

Arcadia (Goli's Graphic Gallery) / IIDX bible

Duel is originally from East London, the mecca of clubbing, in England. In the past, he naturally liked clubs with an underground atmosphere, but recently he's been listening to music that incorporates a wide variety of elements.

A former hooligan with a passion for soccer, Duel was a teenager who often got into trouble for assaults. However, a fascination with Japanese movies brought him to Japan after a change of heart. Duel stopped by a video game arcade once, and fell in love with IIDX. He was so impressed with Japanese culture that he founded "TO-RA-YA," a company selling pure Japanese culture, in order to develop an online business for Japanese connoisseurs in his home country. He has been promoting Japanese music and culture to the world. He was a leading provider of Japanese music and culture to the world, but went bankrupt in the wake of the recession. However, he published a book, aided by his study of Japanese history and his hobby of memorizing dialects of various regions of Japan. His first book, "Matcha Milk Tea" became a phenomenal hit around the world. With the royalties, he bought his own IIDX machine.

Seeing the beauty of Japanese taste with the green color of wasabi, he has been going to "Tetsu Sushi" every day for a month. He was living an elegant royalty life, eating high-class sushi as usual. However, after the sushi, he sometimes orders a cup of tea, only to have Tekka's grandfather sprinkle salt on his face. Even so, he is picky about his tea time. He likes the tanning he and Ereki had at a tanning salon, and he promotes it to Tekka as well. Is it because of the Japanese beauty or because of the black hair of the red girl that Q-Jack is chasing around?

Arcadia (ROOTS26)

When Duel was a teenager in London, a retail store owned by his parents went bankrupt due to the stock market crash of its parent company, and Duel's life became extremely impoverished. In order to survive, he became a broker in the black market in his mid-teens. His father fled to alcohol and drugs in order to escape his debt-ridden life, causing Duel to lose both the father he looked up to and his childhood dream of becoming a soccer player. The anger of poverty turned the once passionate soccer boy into a "hooligan" who repeatedly engaged in violent brawls at the stadium. Duel was blacklisted by the Scotland Yard (London Metropolitan Police), and hid in the underworld when he caused trouble. However, this life came to an end after several years when Duel was stabbed with a knife, and critically injured in a fight over territory rights. A chance viewing of a Japanese movie in the hospital introduced him to Japan, a country with a colorful culture unlike the gray, smoggy London. From the movie "Otoko wa Tsurai yo," Duel came across the words "GIRI" (social obligation) and "NIN-JYO," (compassion) and moved to Japan. After traveling around Japan for a while, Duel decided to apply his skills and business acumen from his black market days to the real world. Duel developed an online business, and his books on culture from British and Japanese perspectives sold well worldwide, and he was able to live off the royalties. He has given his parents back at home a loan to rebuild their store, and is currently working on a new business venture of his own. In his hard youth, he has always been supported by the memory of the "milk tea" his father used to make for him when he was a child.
