    • good-cool's third and final album published by KONAMI, good-cool crazy operation, is released. All future albums of his would be published under his own circle.

    • Naoyuki Sato's second album, Backdrops - and the only one released under his 猫叉Master+ alias - is released.

  • November 10th: pop'n music is released in North America for the Nintendo Wii.

  • December 24th: beatmania IIDX -SUPER BEST BOX- vol.1 and beatmania IIDX -SUPER BEST BOX- vol.2, a collection of (most) of the arcade series' beatmania IIDX songs from the first title through beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS that were still in the series as of beatmania IIDX 17 SIRIUS, is released. The sets were released both separately and as a double bundle together.
    • The double set includes an exclusive disc containing the ending themes of the first 17 beatmania IIDX arcade games, as well as a new remix of V by QUADRA, a new Mr.T remix (ZERO-EXPANDED), and a brand-new song by L.E.D. and kors k, TEARS FOR THE TIME.
  • Unknown date: Akira Yamaoka, after over 15 years of service as a music composer and game producer, leaves KONAMI [[1]].
