REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! Upper
An expansion of REFLEC BEAT groovin'!!. It was announced on 11/12/2014.
Release Information
- Release date: 11/20/2014
General Information / Changes
- New Upper Gauge and Upper Points system added. These are used to unlock new customization options.
- A new Expert mode for the song selection screen was added, where song titles are displayed on a vertical scroll wheel on the right side of the screen, similar to beatmania IIDX. More information about the chart is shown on the left.
- All songs locked/hidden in REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! are still as such if you didn't unlock them in the previous game.
- A gold ring now appears together with concurrent objects, as opposed to the previous golden aura. The ring has a red highlight for concurrent top and normal objects.
- The top judgement points now highlight as top objects approach them.
- Announcer now speaks in the middle of gameplay. The combo reaching a multiple of 100 and the Upper Gauge advancing a level are announced.
- Two new, harder clear gauges, the Hard Gauge and Super Hard Gauge, are added.
- The default music select BGM has been slightly re-arranged.

The Ura MYSTICAL STRIKE (裏MYSTICAL STRIKE) continues the MYSTICAL STRIKE event from REFLEC BEAT groovin'!!. To unlock the event, you must first beat Bahamut in the original MYSTICAL STRIKE event.
You also need 1,000,000 Upper Points to access 裏MYSTICAL STRIKE.

This unlocking system started on December 12th, 2014, replacing REFLEC BEAT groovin'!!'s REFLEC Stamp system. By obtaining 1,000,000 Upper Points, you can play once the songs from each set during the period of time where they're available.

This event started on December 24th, 2014, to commemorate the release of the Power Of Nature album. To unlock the event songs, you must obtain the different attributes of the "powers of nature" (自然の力). By increasing the attributes, you also increase the fate purification probability.
Then, by accessing the event website (which can be found here), you can press the "fate purification challenge" (運命浄化チャレンジ) button. If the purification is successful, you will unlock the song(s).
To unlock the pop'n music crossovers in other BEMANI games, you must obtain the Earth Purification (大地の浄化) power by playing pop'n music ラピストリア.
