• MAX.(period) did not appear in an arcade DanceDanceRevolution release until near 12 years after its debut, despite that its banner could be found in the DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA data.
  • • MAX.(period) finally appeared in DanceDanceRevolution (2014) as the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE song of the Replicant D-ignition event, achieved by obtaining a AA or greater on EGOISM 440. RISKY, REVERSE, and 1.5x Hi-SPEED options were forced when playing the song. Clearing it would unlock "The Dark One" as a selectable dancer.
    • As of Replicant D-ignition's 2nd Phase, MAX.(period) was moved down to EXTRA STAGE, but could still be accessed as an ENCORE EXTRA STAGE by obtaining a AA or greater on EGOISM 440.
      • MAX.(period) also received brand new CHALLENGE charts as part of the 2nd Phase of the Replicant D-ignition event.
    • Note that obtaining a AA or greater on MAX.(period) as the EXTRA STAGE would immediately trigger Over The “Period” as the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE and unlock RINON as a selectable dancer.
    • From August 6th, 2015 to December 23rd, 2015, MAX.(period) could be unlocked via the EXTRA ATTACK unlocking system, after unlocking EGOISM 440. Note that the SURVIVED BONUS meter had to be filled on BEGINNER, then BASIC, DIFFICULT, and then finally EXPERT.
    • MAX.(period)'s CHALLENGE charts could be unlocked via EXTRA ATTACK after unlocking Over The “Period”'s EXPERT charts.
    • When played as an ENCORE EXTRA STAGE, the "CLEARED" message appears right at the end of the song, appearing when the sound of a closing door can be heard in the song. This also occurs in DanceDanceRevolution A, albeit on any stage.
      • As such, the GROOVE RADAR values for all of MAX.(period)'s charts have been lowered to fit the new song length.
  • From December 24th, 2015 onwards, MAX.(period) has been automatically unlocked for all players.
• During the 180 BPM section of the song, MAX.(period)'s charts (except for BEGINNER) use portions of PARANOiA's charts.
  • MAX.(period)'s CHALLENGE charts use parts of PARANOiA (X-Special)'s charts.
• In MAX.(period)'s video, a video clip of PARANOiA being selected and played on the original DanceDanceRevolution game is shown.
