Profile

Yuji Takahashi, better known under his BEMANI alias VJ YUZ, is one of the former members of the beatmania IIDX team's "VJ Army," creating videos to go along with each and every one of the songs in beatmania IIDX. His videos often featured art by fellow beatmania IIDX staff member GOLI. Yuji also worked on KEYBOARDMANIA as a CG designer in the first game, and later as a director in the following installments.

Trivia

• In the video and song production information for Happy Wedding, both dj TAKA and GOLI note that one of the beatmania IIDX male VJs got married at the time, but they don't mention whom. Given that Yuji stepped down from the main visual staff after 6th style (later games only credit him as "special thanks"), didn't do any song videos in 7th style, only did a single video in 8th style, and left BEMANI altogether after 9th style, it's speculated to be him.
  • TAKA's song comments also note Happy Wedding's original name was HAPPY WEDDING ○○○!, leaving three letters for a VJ's name, further suggesting it was Yuji, whose VJ name is VJ YUZ [1].
