Release Information

  • Release Dates:
    • PlayStation 3:
      • 11/16/10 (U.S.)
      • 03/18/11 (Europe)
    • Xbox 360:
      • 04/12/11 (U.S.)
  • Released in Europe as DanceDanceRevolution New Moves.
    • This name was also planned for the Japanese release of the game until it was cancelled.

General Information / Changes

  • First and only PlayStation 3 DanceDanceRevolution game.
  • Almost all of the songlist is shared with DanceDanceRevolution (2010).
  • Only U.S. DanceDanceRevolution CS title with a direct port on another system - the Xbox 360.
    • The Xbox 360 version of DanceDanceRevolution marks the final Xbox 360 DDR title on that system.
    • The modes that required the PlayStation Move have been removed, though.
  • Game uses a completely different interface from any previous DanceDanceRevolution title, with a large emphasis on red and black.
  • First U.S. DanceDanceRevolution title since DDRMAX -DanceDanceRevolution- with no playable dancers in the background, and also not to have any unique videos for any songs.
  • Songs only have Single charts - Double is gone.
  • Jumps count as two steps for combo purposes once again.
  • Groove Radar is gone.
  • Difficulty scale is 1-10, instead of the standardized 1-20 introduced two years earlier in DanceDanceRevolution X. However, several charts were re-rated.
    • It also uses a right side song wheel, though jackets are still used instead of banners for songs.
  • CHALLENGE charts for songs are playable, but must be unlocked by clearing a song's EXPERT chart first.
  • EDIT mode is not in the game.
  • Video plays of songs can be uploaded to YouTube. Only KONAMI originals can be uploaded, though.
  • Total songs: 49 (not including DLC)
