DanceDanceRevolution STR!KE Dance Master Mode Guide

Much like its North American counterpart DanceDanceRevolution EXTREME2, and its European counterpart Dancing Stage Max, DanceDanceRevolution STR!KE's main unlock event is Dance Master Mode ((ダンスマスターモード)). Here you play 192 missions across seven areas, with the goal to complete missions to unlock further missions, which will grant you access to unlockable songs, courses, arrow skins, and even modes. Missions are divided into five different colored boxes:

  • Yellow: standard missions. Some yellow missions may also have contain new songs to unlock.
  • Red: boss missions. Completing these unlocks not only a new song, but allows you to access further areas by completing a certain amount of them.
  • Blue: special missions. These are much harder than the usual missions around the area.
  • Green: courses. Play a series of songs back-to-back with certain modifiers on.
  • White: THE LAST mission color. Only used for this one mission.

30 missions also have hidden secret secondary goals. Completing these goals will unlock other missions for access. These will be noted as such in the guide.

In addition, there are X missions. X missions are hidden missions that have special requirements to access. Most (most) of them are accessed by completing secret goals in regular missions. Some X missions require beating secondary goals in other X missions to access.

Each mission also has a difficulty rating on a scale of 1 to 10. These will be listed after the difficulty level of the song/course.

AREAs

AREA A (9 missions: eight regular, one X)

All songs in AREA A are played on BEGINNER.

AREA B (56 missions: 51 regular, five hidden)

Complete both missions A-7 and A-8 to access.

  • B-1: Block Rockin' Beats BEGINNER (?): clear without failing out.
  • B-2: As The Rush Comes (Gabriel & Dresden Sweeping Strings Radio Edit) BEGINNER (?): get 15 PERFECTs.
  • B-3: EVERYDAY AT THE BUS STOP LIGHT (?): get 2,500,000 points.
  • B-4: INSIDE YOUR HEART BEGINNER (?): get 2,500,000 points.
  • B-5: LOVE IS ORANGE BEGINNER (?): clear with a C or higher.
    • Secret Mission: clear with a grade of A or higher.
  • B-6: You Sexy Thing BEGINNER (?): get 3,000,000 points.
  • B-7: VJ Army BEGINNER (?): get a MAX COMBO of 10 or more.

  • B-9: RIDE ON THE LIGHT (HI GREAT MIX) BEGINNER (?): get 3,500,000 points.
  • B-10: Polovtsian Dances And Chorus BEGINNER (?): get a grade of C or higher.
  • B-11: Make A Difference BEGINNER (?): clear without failing out.
  • B-12: THE BIG VOYAGER -INFINITE PRAYER REINTERPRETATION- BEGINNER: get 20 or more PERFECTs.
  • B-13: Saturday Night Love LIGHT (?): get a MAX COMBO of 20 or more.

  • B-14: Block Rockin' Beats LIGHT - get a grade of C or higher.
  • B-15: HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH (German Election Mix) BEGINNER (?): get 3,500,000 points.

  • B-16: MARIA (I believe...) BEGINNER (?): get 50 or more PERFECT/GREATs.
  • B-17: MAKE A JAM! (Dub/House) BEGINNER (?): - hit all FREEZE arrows with OK! timing.
  • B-18: Baile Le Samba LIGHT(?): clear without failing out.
    • Mods: 3X
  • B-19: HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH (German Election Mix) LIGHT (?): clear without failing out.
  • B-20: VJ ARMY LIGHT(?): clear with 3,000,000 points.
  • B-21: Monkey Punk LIGHT(?): get 4,000,000 points.
  • B-22: Polovtsian Dances And Chorus LIGHT(?): get 3,500,000 points.
  • B-23: Hit 'n' Slap LIGHT(?): clear without failing out.
    • NOTE: Arrow placement is placed very low, just above the score.
  • B-24: fly through the night BEGINNER(?): - get a grade of C or higher.
    • Secret Mission: clear with exactly a grade of C.
  • B-25: Japanese Pops Course Normal (?): finish the entire course.
    • Songs played: CHOO CHOO TRAIN, EVERYDAY AT THE BUS STOP, and DoLL, all on BEGINNER.
  • B-26: .59 remix STANDARD (?): hit arrows where there aren't any for extra points. You need 100 to complete the mission. Stepping on any arrows results in instant failure.
    • Mods: LIFE1
    • Secret Mission: step on exactly 100 arrows.

  • B-27: I will Survive LIGHT (?): get 20 PERFECTs.
  • B-28: Super Star 3 Course Normal (?): finish the entire course.

  • B-29: LOVE IS ORANGE LIGHT(?): get a grade of C or higher.
  • B-30: You gotta move it (feat. Julie Rugaard) (?): get 3,000,000 points or more.
  • B-31: iFUTURELIST LIGHT (?): get a MAX COMBO of 20 or higher.
  • B-32: Let's Dance LIGHT (?): get 3,000,000 points or more.
  • B-33: Genie In A Bottle BEGINNER (?): - clear without failing out.
    • Mods: REVERSE
  • B-34: DoLL LIGHT (?): get OK! on all freeze arrows. NG/not hitting freeze arrows results in instant failure.
  • B-35: PASSION OF LOVE LIGHT (?): get 4,000,000 points or more.
  • B-36: AKIRA LINES course (?). Get 20,000,000 points overall in the course.
    • Songs played: iFUTURELIST(DDR VERSION), Oops!... I Did It Again, INSIDE YOUR HEART, I will Survive, and INJECTION OF LOVE(e), all on LIGHT.
  • B-37: Super Star 1 course (?). Clear at least two songs.
    • Songs played: Oops!... I Did It Again, Choo Choo TRAIN, Genie In A Bottle, and As The Rush Comes (Gabriel & Dresden Sweeping Strings Radio Edit), all on LIGHT.
    • Secret Mission: clear the entire course.
  • B-38: Istanbul Café BEGINNER (?): clear without failing out.
  • B-39: 19,November LIGHT (?): clear without failing out.

  • B-49: Starmine BEGINNER (?): get a grade of B or higher.
    • NOTE: up and down arrows share the same arrow in the center.
  • B-50: Luv To Me (UCCHIE'S EDITION) LIGHT (?): clear with a grade of C or higher.
  • B-51: MARIA (I believe... ) LIGHT (?): get 30 PERFECTs.
    • Secret Mission: get 70 PERFECTs.
  • X-2: Knock Out Regrets BEGINNER (?): get a B or higher.
    • Complete the secret mission of B-5 to access.
  • X-3: GYRUSS -FULL TILT- BEGINNER (?): get 20 PERFECTs.
    • Complete the secret mission of B-24 to access.
  • X-4: Midnight Special BEGINNER (?): clear with a grade of C or higher.
    • Unlock this mission by purchasing Option 1 (選択肢1) for 3000 points. You must clear B-22 first, as well as a total of 25 missions in A and B first, to access.
  • X-5: Play That Funky Music BEGINNER (?): get 3,000,000 points.
    • Complete the secret mission of B-37 to access.
    • NOTE: All arrows are placed on one arrow.
  • X-6: GYRUSS -FULT TILT- LIGHT (?): get 4,000,000 points.
    • Complete the secret mission of B-51 to access.

The shop is where you'll buy songs/courses/arrows/characters after reaching a certain requirement with them. These are listed below:

Songs

DoLL, Knock Out Regrets, and Midnight Special are available for immediate purchase at the shop if you have PlayStation 2 memory card data for beatmania IIDX 10th style CS, pop'n music 12 いろは CS, and GuitarFreaks V & DrumMania V CS respectively.

Arrow Skins

All arrow skins but the first cost 2000 points to unlock. You will need to spend points every time you wish to change to a different skin; they are not permanently unlocked.

  • 矢印1: default arrow. Costs 100 points to revert back. These will be available for purchase after changing to another arrow skin.
  • 矢印2: arrows shaped like GRADIUS ships.
  • 矢印3: arrows shaped like smaller arrows.
  • 矢印4: arrows shaped like butterflies.

Modes

These are all available for purchase after unlocking all songs in the game.

  • ENDLESS (エンドレス) - 10000 points.
  • SURVIVAL (サバイバル) - 15000 points.
  • COMBO CHALLENGE (コンボチャレンジ) - 20000 points.

Secret Mission Hints

These are 30 of these in all. These will unlock as you progress through the map. There are no specific requirements to unlock these. These cost 3000-4000 points each to unlock. After purchase, press SELECT on missions with secret missions to access their requirements.
