** Several ANOTHER charts were added for old songs, along with some ANOTHER-exclusive remixes. | ** Several ANOTHER charts were added for old songs, along with some ANOTHER-exclusive remixes.
* CENTER | *** Most of the new ANOTHER remixes are simply the original songs with rearranged keysounds.
* HI-SPEED now | *** None of these remixes have appeared on any original soundtracks.
* Difficulty | ** All of the "Hard Version" charts from 5thMIX have been repurposed as ANOTHER difficulty charts for the same song (instead of being separate songs).
** ANOTHER charts | * Introduces several new modifiers: 1P-CENTER, HI-SPEED 2/3, and BM-II DOUBLE.
** 1P-CENTER: Allows the player use the 2P keys with the 1P turntable (to mimic the layout of the 1P side in beatmania IIDX).
*** This modifier was renamed to CENTER in later games.
** HI-SPEED 2/3: Multiplies the scroll speed by x3.0 or x4.0, respectively.
*** HI-SPEED, which was introduced in 5thMIX and multiplies the scroll speed by x2.0, is now named HI-SPEED 1.
**** HS1's multiplier value of x2.0 would remain the same until CORE REMIX, where it would be changed to x1.5 for the rest of the series.
*** HS2's/HS3's multiplier values of x3.0 and x4.0 would remain the same until CORE REMIX, where they would be changed to x2.0 and x3.0 respectively, for the rest of the series.
** BM-II DOUBLE: Moves the 1P- and 2P-side play fields to the center of the screen when playing Double (to mimic the layout of Double Play in beatmania IIDX). This modifier was renamed to IIDX DOUBLE in CORE REMIX, and to CENTER DOUBLE in 7thMIX.
* ANOTHER charts now have individual difficulty ratings, instead of sharing the same ratings as the standard charts.
* Difficulty level now goes up to 9, which remained the standard for the rest of the series.
* Difficulty charts can now be switched between by pressing 2+4 (both black keys).
** Previously, ANOTHER charts had to be accessed by selecting a song via button presses at a certain time (3rdMIX and completeMIX), or with 2+3+4 (4thMIX and 5thMIX).
** This method of changing difficulties while not selecting the song was used in most future game in the series.
* First arcade beatmania game to feature an accessible options menu on the song select screen (as opposed to only having an options menu on the title screen).
** Access to this menu must be unlocked by pressing the EFFECT button six times on the song select screen, and then holding EFFECT while selecting options.
* First beatmania game that explicitly warns on the song select screen when a highlighted chart will not allow BATTLE to be used.
** If such a chart is selected anyway, a message saying "BATTLE PLAY NOT AVAILABLE" will appear and a DOUBLE chart will be played instead.
*** This is the previous behavior from 3rdMIX, which was changed in 4thMIX and 5thMIX but reverted and now used in all subsequent games.
* The U.S. release, known as hiphopmania completeMIX 2, contains some of the changes made to the Korean release of 5thMIX (different groove gauge, addition of PERFECT PLAY), as well as a few additional changes.
** All licensed songs except for KAKATTEKONKAI have been removed.
*** As such, some EXPERT courses have alternate songs in place of their absences.

= Songs With Default Scroll Speed Multipliers =
{|class="wikitable" | * Some songs in this game have a scroll speed multiplier applied to them by default when playing certain charts.
** In other words, on such charts, the in-game BPM is higher than the displayed BPM, and thus the chart scrolls faster than the displayed BPM would imply.
** When a HI-SPEED option is used on such a chart, that HI-SPEED's multiplier will stack (multiply) with that chart's default scroll speed multiplier.
* Songs that have such charts, as well as other relevant information, are shown in the table below (for all games and applicable songs, see here).

beatmania completeMIX 2
Release Information
- Release date:
- Japan: January 27th, 2000
- United States: June 2000
General Information / Changes
- The second of two beatmania compilation mixes released, this time including most of the songs from beatmania 4thMIX 〜the beat goes on〜 and beatmania 5thMIX -Time to get down-, along with a handful of songs from older titles.
- Several ANOTHER charts were added for old songs, along with some ANOTHER-exclusive remixes.
- Most of the new ANOTHER remixes are simply the original songs with rearranged keysounds.
- None of these remixes have appeared on any original soundtracks.
- All of the "Hard Version" charts from 5thMIX have been repurposed as ANOTHER difficulty charts for the same song (instead of being separate songs).
- Several ANOTHER charts were added for old songs, along with some ANOTHER-exclusive remixes.
- Introduces several new modifiers: 1P-CENTER, HI-SPEED 2/3, and BM-II DOUBLE.
- 1P-CENTER: Allows the player use the 2P keys with the 1P turntable (to mimic the layout of the 1P side in beatmania IIDX).
- This modifier was renamed to CENTER in later games.
- HI-SPEED 2/3: Multiplies the scroll speed by x3.0 or x4.0, respectively.
- HI-SPEED, which was introduced in 5thMIX and multiplies the scroll speed by x2.0, is now named HI-SPEED 1.
- HS1's multiplier value of x2.0 would remain the same until CORE REMIX, where it would be changed to x1.5 for the rest of the series.
- HS2's/HS3's multiplier values of x3.0 and x4.0 would remain the same until CORE REMIX, where they would be changed to x2.0 and x3.0 respectively, for the rest of the series.
- HI-SPEED, which was introduced in 5thMIX and multiplies the scroll speed by x2.0, is now named HI-SPEED 1.
- BM-II DOUBLE: Moves the 1P- and 2P-side play fields to the center of the screen when playing Double (to mimic the layout of Double Play in beatmania IIDX). This modifier was renamed to IIDX DOUBLE in CORE REMIX, and to CENTER DOUBLE in 7thMIX.
- 1P-CENTER: Allows the player use the 2P keys with the 1P turntable (to mimic the layout of the 1P side in beatmania IIDX).
- ANOTHER charts now have individual difficulty ratings, instead of sharing the same ratings as the standard charts.
- Difficulty level now goes up to 9, which remained the standard for the rest of the series.
- Difficulty charts can now be switched between by pressing 2+4 (both black keys).
- Previously, ANOTHER charts had to be accessed by selecting a song via button presses at a certain time (3rdMIX and completeMIX), or with 2+3+4 (4thMIX and 5thMIX).
- This method of changing difficulties while not selecting the song was used in most future game in the series.
- First arcade beatmania game to feature an accessible options menu on the song select screen (as opposed to only having an options menu on the title screen).
- Access to this menu must be unlocked by pressing the EFFECT button six times on the song select screen, and then holding EFFECT while selecting options.
- First beatmania game that explicitly warns on the song select screen when a highlighted chart will not allow BATTLE to be used.
- If such a chart is selected anyway, a message saying "BATTLE PLAY NOT AVAILABLE" will appear and a DOUBLE chart will be played instead.
- This is the previous behavior from 3rdMIX, which was changed in 4thMIX and 5thMIX but reverted and now used in all subsequent games.
- If such a chart is selected anyway, a message saying "BATTLE PLAY NOT AVAILABLE" will appear and a DOUBLE chart will be played instead.
- The U.S. release, known as hiphopmania completeMIX 2, contains some of the changes made to the Korean release of 5thMIX (different groove gauge, addition of PERFECT PLAY), as well as a few additional changes.
- All licensed songs except for KAKATTEKONKAI have been removed.
- As such, some EXPERT courses have alternate songs in place of their absences.
- All licensed songs except for KAKATTEKONKAI have been removed.

Songs With Default Scroll Speed Multipliers
- Some songs in this game have a scroll speed multiplier applied to them by default when playing certain charts.
- In other words, on such charts, the in-game BPM is higher than the displayed BPM, and thus the chart scrolls faster than the displayed BPM would imply.
- When a HI-SPEED option is used on such a chart, that HI-SPEED's multiplier will stack (multiply) with that chart's default scroll speed multiplier.
- Songs that have such charts, as well as other relevant information, are shown in the table below (for all games and applicable songs, see here).
