General Information / Changes

• Theme appears to be related to sky and water. Main color is cyan.
• New clear ranks introduced: A+, AA+, AAA+, and S.
• Ranks will now be solely based on raw score, and will work as follows:
  • D: ?
  • C: ?
  • B: ?
  • A: ?
  • A+: ?
  • AA: 9,300,000
  • AA+: 9,500,000
  • AAA: 9,700,000
  • AAA+: 9,800,000
  • S: 9,900,000
• Difficulty scale has been expanded to 1 to 20. All current Level 13 to 16 charts will be re-rated to the new scale from 13 to 20. See below.
• Two new difficulties added, MAXIMUM and HEAVENLY:
  • MAXIMUM is the fourth regular difficulty mode and is harder than EXHAUST. Its notation is "MXM" and its color is black. MAXIMUM charts are only available for all new SOUND VOLTEX IV songs and need to be purchased. Blc price depends on the MAXIMUM chart's difficulty level:
    • Level 15: 1250 Blc.
    • Level 16: 1500 Blc.
    • Level 17: 2000 Blc.
    • Level 18: 2500 Blc.
  • HEAVENLY, the fifth difficulty, is the old special difficulty equivalent (SOUND VOLTEX IV's version of INF/GRV difficulties). Its notation is "HVN" and its color is cyan.
• MIRROR and RANDOM options are introduced.
  • RANDOM only affects BT notes; FX notes and VOL lasers remain unchanged.
  • RANDOM scores are not saved (however this might be changed in the future).
• You can now also purchase SDVX Station charts from within the song select screen.
• There are now sub-folders sorted by level within each sort folder. They can be accessed by pressing any BT button when inside the folder selection screen.
• Three new folders added: FLOOR contest, Rank, Clear mark.
• You can now select a random song in a folder by pressing 3 on the numeric keypad.
• Achievements introduced, similar to beatmania IIDX's Tran Medals.
• Character result screens added.
  • You can make custom GENESIS CARDs based on the results screen by pressing 9 on the numeric keypad. These are known as "TRACK MEMORIAL" cards. Costs one additional credit.
• Songs licensed from major doujin labels are now added to the game.
• Certain FX notes now play sound effects upon being pressed. These FX notes contain a white colored portion in the center.
• You can now sort songs by artist.
• Hi-SPEED setting limit increased from 7.0 to 8.0.
• The headphone volume range has been expanded from 1-8 to 1-10.
• Data carrying over from SOUND VOLTEX III GRAVITY WARS are ID, player name, song unlocks, scores, Appeal/Genesis cards, Navigator crew, Blc/Pc boosters, Blc/Pc exchanges and Blaster damage.
  • SKILL ANALYZER level, title and scores, and Blaster gauge status, BLOCKS and PACKETS do not carry over.
