Profile
MAYA joined the beatmania IIDX video designer staff during the production for beatmania IIDX 11 IIDX RED, when there was a big push to start bringing in new talent to the beatmania IIDX team. Another mostly 2D artist, her coloring style, vaguely reminiscent of watercolor, provides a contrast to GOLI's (usually) cel-shaded works, although she did a few 3D movies. MAYA was during her stay at KONAMI one of the very few women on the graphics design team, but was one of many staffers who plays beatmania IIDX; her KONAMI ID was 6233-6531. Her art book "puzzle / MAYA TAKAMURA'S PIECES" was released on May 29th, 2008.
MAYA left KONAMI in 2008, though she continues to provide freelance illustration / movie work for beatmania IIDX and other BEMANI series.
In July 2014, MAYA released her 2nd photo book "Mika".
