- Release date: March 17th, 2001
General Information / Changes
- Introduced a new difficulty system, rating songs on a scale of 1 to 99 in difficulty. This would be used for the rest of the classic series, including GuitarFreaks V & DrumMania V→V8.
- First of two games with MultiSession GDK, allowing you to combine GUITARFREAKS, drummania, and KEYBOARDMANIA together to play a handful of songs on.
- Osamu Migitera makes his debut in the series.
- Long-time vocalists MAKI and Miyuki Kunitake join the series.
- Total songs: 128 (84 in both, 24 only in GUITARFREAKS, 20 only in drummania)
