ULTIMATE MOBILE MUSIC PLAYER omissions

One of the most celebrated features of beatmania IIDX ULTIMATE MOBILE, SOUND VOLTEX ULTIMATE MOBILE, and DanceDanceRevolution ULTIMATE MOBILE by KONAMI was the MUSIC PLAYER, which lets you play thousands of music tracks from various BEMANI titles from the past 22 years of the series' history.

However, quite a few tracks are missing, possibly far more than you'd think at first glance.

For the sake of simplicity, this list will only cover the vanilla versions of BEMANI albums that are specifically on the ULTIMATE MOBILE releases, or were made for the releases. It will not cover V-RARE or special edition releases.

The BEMANI series with OST releases are not represented on the ULTIMATE MOBILE services at all:

  • beatmania
  • Dance Maniax
  • KEYBOARDMANIA
  • ParaParaParadise

DanceDanceRevolution and SOUND VOLTEX are not currently covered on here, as their ULTIMATE MOBILE releases haven't come out; their lists will be updated accordingly upon their releases.

The original BeatStream, as well as MÚSECA and MÚSECA 1+1/2, are not covered on here as well, as their soundtracks have fully complete contest/original compositions.

Artists whose songs don't appear in MUSIC PLAYER

Due to copyright issues with JASRAC, certain BEMANI artists just don't appear at all on the MUSIC PLAYER, or have extremely limited songs on there. Here's a known list of known artists whose songs do not appear at all on the MUSIC PLAYER:

GUITAR FREAKS ORIGINAL GAME SOUNDTRACK (1999)

Original track number: 24 tracks (12 game length, 5 long, 6 BGM tracks, 1 special track)
ULTIMATE MOBILE track number: 18 tracks (12 game length, 5 long, no BGM tracks, 1 special track)
Removed: All six BGM tracks have been removed.

drummania original soundtracks (1999)

Original track number: 33 tracks (19 game length, 8 longs, 4 BGM tracks, 2 special tracks)
ULTIMATE MOBILE track number: 17 tracks (11 game length, 1 longs, 4 BGM tracks, 1 special track)
Removed: 16 tracks removed. Along with River crossin' and special arrangement Make You Happy -I think about you-, these other seven songs also had long versions removed with their short counterparts: Depend on me, Eyes of kids, Good times, Heaven is a '57 metallic gray, I think about you, Look at me, and When I dream of you.

GUITAR FREAKS 2nd MIX ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK (1999)

Original track number: 40 tracks (28 game length, 6 longs, 6 BGM tracks)
ULTIMATE MOBILE track number: 22 tracks (21 game length, 1 long, 0 BGM tracks)
Removed: 18 tracks removed. Six arcade songs axed: JUST JOEY (and long), KING G, MAGIC MUSIC MAGIC, MR.MACHINE, and the long version of WANNA BE YOUR BOY (but not the game cut). All CS songs and their longs were also removed: EVIL EYE, J-STAFF, and MICKEY'S BOOGIE. All six BGM tracks were also removed.

GUITAR FREAKS 3rdMIX & drummania 2ndMIX soundtracks (2000)

Original track number: 57 tracks (28 game length, 18 licenses, 10 longs, 1 special track)
ULTIMATE MOBILE track number: 18 tracks (14 game length, 0 licenses, 3 longs, 1 special track)
Removed: 39 tracks removed. In addition to all 19 licenses (18 game length, plus a long of 恋のダイヤル6700, the following other 14 songs were removed: A HAND TO HOLD (and long), BREAK OUT, CLASSIC PARTY, DIGITALIAN, HELPLESS (and long), La Bossanova de Sana, MEMBER INTRODUCTION, MONDO STREET, ON OUR WAY, OVERDRIVE COMPUTER, P.P.R. (and long), SAY WHAT YOU MEAN, STOP SPINNING ME IN CIRCLES (and long), WAY TO GO. In addition, the longs of ERASER ENGINE (ERASE ENGINE(eraser motor mix)) and PRIMAL SOUL were also removed.

GUITAR FREAKS 4thMIX & drummania 3rdMIX Soundtracks (2001)

Original track number: 32 tracks (15 game length, 10 licenses, 5 longs, 2 instrumentals)
ULTIMATE MOBILE track number: 10 tracks (8 game length, 0 licenses, 2 longs, 0 instrumentals)
Removed: 22 tracks removed. In addition to all 10 licenses, as well as the previously removed long of PRIMAL SOUL, the following seven songs were also removed: CLASSIC PARTY 2, DAY DREAM, Furi Furi'60, GIANT SLUG, NOW I'M SURE, Secrets of your heart, and YOU ELEVATE ME. In addition, the longs of CAPTAIN'S VOYAGE and SEA ANEMONES, as well as the instrumental versions of CARNIVAL DAY and RIGHT ON TIME, are also removed.

GUITAR FREAKS 5thMIX & drummania 4thMIX Soundtracks (2001)

Original track number: 49 tracks (22 game length, 11 licenses, 11 longs, 5 BGM tracks)
ULTIMATE MOBILE track number: 15 tracks (12 game length, 0 licenses, 3 longs, 0 BGM tracks)
Removed: 34 tracks removed. In addition to all 11 licenses, the following songs have been removed: CLASSIC PARTY 3, DEPEND ON ME (CD Version) (though the long version is still in), -JET"G"CREW-絶好調 (and long), MAGICAL JET TOUR (and long), Mr.Moon (and long), NEVER AGAIN, Pretty G, Session X'Mas (and long), SILLY GIRL, STAR OF MUSE (and long), and both longs of 風馬天空. In addition, HELPLESS(Guitar Long Version) was also removed, as were all five BGM tracks.
