• Release date: December 28th, 2000

General Information / Changes

• Song list includes all the new songs from beatmania CORE REMIX, along with three beatmania IIDX 3rd style crossovers.
  • In addition, all of the new songs from beatmania completeMIX 2 (including the new ANOTHER charts) and the KONAMI originals from beatmania ClubMIX (sans MOMENT's ANOTHER charts) are included.
  • However, the Double charts of seven songs in the completeMIX 2 ANOTHER folder (20,november, DENIM ～ELECTRO MIX～, HUNTING FOR YOU, LOVE SO GROOVY, Prince on a star, super highway ～SUPER SUBWAY MIX～, and tokai) were not included. They were later added in beatmania III THE FINAL.
• Maximum difficulty level expanded from 6 to 9.
• Every license from beatmania 5thMIX -Time to get down- except FINDING A NEW WORLD has been removed.
• Option menu opens automatically while waiting on the start screen.
  • The options for the second player can be chosen separately.
  • 1P CENTER was added.
• The COUNTER gameplay frame was added.
• ANOTHER and foot ver. charts can be switched by pressing both black keys, much like beatmania completeMIX 2.
• GOODs do not break combo.
• The foot pedal lane was moved to the rightmost lane (when 1P CENTER is used, the leftmost lane is used instead).
• New bonuses at the end of each stage were added (except tsunagi (expert) mode):
  • BORDER: 5,730 points: Clear with only one red bar on the groove gauge.
  • PERFECT: 1,910 points: Clear the entire chart with only GREATs or better.
  • PERFECT + BORDER: 50,000 points: Obtain both PERFECT and BORDER.
  • ALL JUST: 11,111 points: Clear the entire chart with only flashing GREATs. (New)
  • ALL JUST + BORDER: 91,000 points: Obtain both ALL JUST and BORDER. (New)

Codes

Black lanes

• On the title screen, press key 10 four times, keep the key pressed on the fourth time (to make that player2's HIDDEN and SUDDEN are gray/off), then press player1's pedal five times. "FOOT:TRANSLUCENT OFF" will appear on the option menu, which can be toggled OFF or ON by stepping on the pedals.
  • This option will stay active until the game is turned off.

Foot play

• The same as beatmania III, but a player cannot assign keys 2 and 4, as those keys cannot decide a song.

Frame select

• The same as beatmania III, but it is available in tsunagi (expert) mode, and COUNTER frame is added.
  • 0: AUTO, 1: CLOUD, 2: TECHNO, 3: STREET, 4: METAL, 5: JAPAN, 6: SPE-ANA, 7: COUNTER, 8: same as 0.

Fast play

• The same as beatmania III, but SLOW PLAY is no longer available, due to key 2 not being able to decide a song.

Song Unlocks

This unlock requires playing with a FD.

sozai (free) mode

• Only played songs: Clear or play three times all songs in CORE REMIX folder.
• All songs: Clear with a red grade or play five times all songs in CORE REMIX folder.
  • Note: If you want to unlock sozai (free) mode by playing in kobako (basic) mode, you will also need to play the practice stage.
