It all started here. This legendary 1st house song appears in pop'n for a brand-new beginning.

beatmania
This song was made after the halfway point in development, when we were holding the location test in Chayamachi, Osaka. It was right around when a lot of people were playing the game despite it still only having a few songs, and when we became confident that the game was going to succeed. Since there were a lot of people who cleared all of the stages, I thought about what to do with the button controls before creating the song, then assigned the backing piano and 909 drum set (typical of house music) and flashy scratch sounds to the controls.
beatmania completeMIX English site
single mix
A funky fusion of hard driving beats and melodic keyboards that will rock the house.
radio edit
DJ nagureo's house number as a great radio mix.
DanceDanceRevolution
Original Version
This is the probably the first song to come up when asked about beatmania songs.
N.M.R. covered and used this masterpiece in the Dance Dance Revolution series.
Of course, we included the original song this time.
It's no exaggeration to say that beatmania wouldn't have been a hit without this song.
Many people inserted coins in the beatmania series for the famous Italo-like piano riff.
CLUB 2P Version
Some songs now have their own preludes, which didn't exist in their original versions. If you're familiar with "20,november", these four groovy 909 bass drums will make you feel very excited.

This legendary girl only appears at the most exciting parties!
Come on! Let's get everybody dance now!

shio
This is a double homage to the first beatmania and the first pop'n music.

As a designer, I respect both MiZKiNG and MZD.
When I reminisce about it, I'm truly thankful to experience working with such respected seniors.
I think it's unfair to talk about history after it happened, but no matter how you look at it, I feel that there are events in the world can only be said to be divine intervention. Or rather, God's mischief.
The executive beatmania staff was formed by chance. The company had an idyllic atmosphere in those days. I don't think that game would be born if time even slightly moved forwards or backwards. Personally, it was miraculous timing that "a legendary girl only appeared at that moment".
A young monk standing in front of the gate reminisced about those days, how selfish. (I'm sorry...)

For poppers who first heard this song, but have listened to old folk tales in moderation, I think the song and animations are wonderful without any introduction needed, so please enjoy the sounds of tapping the buttons!

Staff Comments
Otsu
House always appears when discussing genre names. I wonder if it's the most common?

TAMA
This song is nostalgic.
When I cleared this song at the arcade for the first time, I was moved.

After that, I had to clear a brand-new wall, named SuperHighWay.

TOMOSUKE
I knew about this song even before I joined this company.
It's really nostalgic when I think about it. It was a time when beatmania was still outside arcades.

masaru
I remember that long time ago, I used to have a hard time playing the "ta taan tan taan taan taaaan" part.
Do you understand what I'm saying?

Chihiro
That's great, it's your own birthday song! What feelings did they have when they created this?
When Chihi creates her own birthday song, I wonder if everyone will forget her birthday. Like "Oh~, it's today?".

eimy
Oh, it's nostalgic. It brought back memories of me playing this song at home with my younger brother, who was in elementary school.
It also brought back memories of my friend's house, a bicycle I used to ride, and touching cats even though I'm allergic to them. I played with the Kato family~.
...Huh? It seems I've casually played it since the beginning of BEMANI.

Daniel
It's very nostalgic!! I have a bit of tears in my eyes.
When I was in the third year of junior high school, I didn't have money, so I practiced really hard by playing (on the 2P side) next to where my friend was playing~.

At that time, HI-SPEED didn't exist, so I remembered the rhythm and challenged high difficulty songs.
"Tataan tan ta"... I get excited just by saying this~.

wac
Around the time I included this song in the game, did I seriously realize that it was the 10th anniversary of pop'n?
I honestly hesitated about including this song, but I decided to do it this time in order to fulfill the survey.

If pop'n turns 10 years old, this song will soon become his 11 year old brother.
Below is my first story with it.
I remember the applauses that my brother received when he cleared this song at the arcade, when I still wasn't really familiar with beatmania. I didn't understand it very well, but I applauded together. This is the end of the story of when I first heard this song.
After that, I coincidentally worked with the composer of that song. When I was silently working late at night, I played the BEMANI Pocket left at the workplace, and unexpectedly became addicted to it. When I challenged it several times and when I finally cleared it on my tenth attempt, the sky started to turn white. No one applauded, so I applauded myself. This is the end of the story of when I first cleared this song.

Music Comment

It all started here. This legendary 1st house song appears in pop'n for a brand-new beginning.

Song Production Information
