General Information / Changes

• Announced on June 27th, 2022 on jubeat's Twitter account [1].
• TARGET SCORE is introduced. By turning it ON, the difference between the current score and TARGET score can be displayed in real time. BEST SCORE, RATING A to SSS, and EXC can be set.
• All previous hidden songs can now be unlocked through the Music Conduction function, with the following exceptions (all from jubeat festo):
  • The four Manatsu no utagassen edition (真夏の歌合戦編) songs from Flag rally!! (フラッグラリー！！).
  • The two BPL応援 楽曲解禁スタンプラリー songs.
  • The MÚSECA and REFLEC BEAT crossovers from Stamp Challenge.
  • 世界の果てに約束の凱歌を -jubeat edition-.
  • The final two original songs from Mission Travel.

LIGHT CHAT

LIGHT CHAT is jubeat Ave.'s main unlock event. e-amusement is required to play the event and it cannot be entered while in local matching.

To unlock a song, you have to decipher the messages sent by your chat partners. That can be done by accumulating the in-game currency, jwatt, and use them to fill up a gauge to full. Each message requires a different amount of jwatts to fully fill. When a message is completed, you can be awarded a title, a title part, BONUS TUNE GAUGE points, jbox pieces, or a song. The final message of each character will always be a new song.

The jwatt can be obtained in several different ways. After clearing a song, jwatts are given equal to the score divided by 10,000, for the maximum of 100 jwatts. Extra jwatts are further added when clearing the song with a FULL COMBO and an EXCELLLENT. Playing daily and weekly recommended songs, FULL COMBO CHALLENGE, or CONTEST also gives extra jwatts.

The first time you play the game, the character SMITH will be automatically selected as your chat partner and he will have only one message to decipher. After that, from the second play onward, you'll be given a selection of characters to choose from. By completing certain characters or certain conditions, new characters can be unlocked. Some of the more difficult conditions are relaxed over time, when enough players have fulfilled them.

There are also "JUST CAME" characters, which are time-limited characters that are available during certain periods. They can be selected after completing SMITH.

BOOST MISSIONs are essential in helping you complete messsages without wasting too many credits. On the character selection and song selection screen, BOOST MISSIONs are displayed. A message has a set of up to 3 missions that are different for each of them. By completing the listed missions, the player are awarded jwatts. Some missions can also award batteries which fill the decipher gauge very quickly. Missions with an infinite sign next to them can be completed every credit while the ones without can only be complete once during that message.

CONCIERGE is a special character who has only one message available but can be selected indefinitely. From August 17th, 2022 onwards, if the player has not unlocked any songs from previous versions, completing the message will award the player a randomly chosen song. If there are no more songs available, BONUS TUNE GAUGE points are given instead.
