This is a commemorative song, and it's TЁЯRA's first written song for the DDR series.
After having a discussion, I remember we pursued it without allowing any small compromises, and created it using TЁЯRA's unique concept, "Let's showcase a new mentality".

The lyrics depict spring during the Edo period.
While making this song, the image of a lively and gorgeous spring scenery in Edo wouldn't leave my head, so I wrote the lyrics with this scenery in mind.
.... And even now, this image is still fresh in jun's mind.

For jun, this song is very emotional.
That's why I'm truly privileged to interact with everyone in different ways this time.
Those who have played DDR, as well as those who haven't.
By all means, please play this song while humming it!

I never thought TЁЯRA would release a new song in the DDR series.
There wasn't a unit called TЁЯRA around the time of MAX2, and since then its been 4 years...... Anyways, I only have memories of continuously running in the last 4 years.
I never thought the surrounding environment would change so much.

That's why... It's nice to meet you, DDR fans.
Have you enjoyed playing "Hana ranman -Flowers-"?
Since DDRSN launches in the United States before Japan, this song is intentionally conscious of "harmony".
The lyrics depict spring during the Edo (period).
While making this song, the image of a lively and gorgeous spring scenery in Edo wouldn't leave my head, so I wrote the lyrics with this scenery in mind.
This time, we ported "Mugen no hikari" from pop'nmusic12, but anyways, jun likes the "harmony". (laughs)

Actually, "Hana ranman -Flowers-" is slightly different from the usual line that TЁЯRA is pursuing the royal road so far.
"I want to make songs which seemingly fit into DDR."
So I inserted this concept in this song, which contains an unprecedented melody.
Those who are familiar with TЁЯRA will be surprised, won't they?
Still, if you can feel TЁЯRA's style somewhere in the song, I would be very happy.

Please brightly enjoy playing this song, as if you're excitedly walking through the lively and gorgeous streets in Edo.

NAOKI MAEDA

Having jun participate as a composer in DDRMAX2 was the catalyst to forming TЁЯRA.
TЁЯRA has provided numerous songs to the pop'n music, beatmania?UDX, and Gitadora series, but DDR hasn't received a new song from them until now, so "Hana ranman -Flowers-" will be TЁЯRA's first DDR original song.
DDR superNOVA is the global standard, so in that case, I'm expressing my Japanese identity through music... the concept isn't an interpretation of Japanese traditional folk music like "Mugen no hikari" was, so while the song contains feelings of "harmony", I also intend to create a HYPER J-POP sound containing strong and catchy elements.
If you listen carefully, it's also made with a Western music style. This deep musical element is the main point of this song.
While meeting global standards, the fact that this song contains a Kanji title shows my obsession with emphasizing Japanese culture.

It started with Dance Dance Revolution, beatmaniaIIDX, and finally it can be accessed by pop'n music fans.
I think "Hana ranman -Flowers-" is the first TЁЯRA song to contain the same arrangement in 3 game series.
jun thinks of her own created songs like her own children, but I think this song is her happy child.

....And the flower path in the Great Edo spring is also bustling with people today.

If you borrow the representative song from SUPER NOVA, you need to bring the characters together! was what I unreasonably requested. It was a very busy place during the development's climax... Thank you very much! EMI's costume is casual and I was worried about whether it would suit the song, but I learned that the hidden costume is a dress which also displays the lyrics, softly!, so I was lucky!
As a side note, when I imagined KIKYO was the leading character because of the JAPANESQUE connection, it was very surreal seeing her holding a skull while dancing to the lyrics, shalala shalala, while expressionless.
