Release Information

  • Location test dates: October 21st to 23rd, 2016.
  • Release date: December 21st, 2016.

General Information / Changes

  • Theme appears to be related to sky and water. Main color is cyan.
  • New clear ranks introduced: A+, AA+, AAA+, and S.
  • Ranks are now solely based on raw score, and works as follows:
    • D: Same as before
    • C: Same as before
    • B: Same as before
    • A: 8,700,000
    • A+: 9,000,000
    • AA: 9,300,000
    • AA+: 9,500,000
    • AAA: 9,700,000
    • AAA+: 9,800,000
    • S: 9,900,000
  • The result screen now shows the previously obtained rank if you get a higher one (from HEAVENLY HAVEN onward only).
  • Difficulty scale has been expanded to 1 to 20. All current Level 13 to 16 charts have been re-rated to the new scale from 13 to 20. See below.
  • Two new difficulties added, MAXIMUM and HEAVENLY:
    • MAXIMUM is a new regular difficulty mode and is harder than EXHAUST. Its notation is "MXM" and its color is black. MAXIMUM charts are only available for all new SOUND VOLTEX IV songs and need to be purchased. Blc price depends on the MAXIMUM chart's difficulty level:
      • Level 15: 1250 Blc.
      • Level 16: 1500 Blc.
      • Level 17: 2000 Blc.
      • Level 18: 2500 Blc.
    • HEAVENLY is the equivalent of INF/GRV difficulties from the older SOUND VOLTEX games. Its notation is "HVN" and its color is blue.
  • The INFINITE BLASTER unlock system has been renamed to BLASTER GATE.
  • MIRROR and RANDOM options are introduced.
    • RANDOM only affects BT notes; FX notes and VOL lasers remain unchanged.
    • RANDOM scores are not saved (however this might be changed in the future).
  • You can now also purchase SDVX Station charts from within the song select screen.
    • Appeal Cards can still be only purchased at the end of a play session though.
  • FRIEND mode can be accessed by waiting five seconds after starting the game.
  • There are now sub-folders sorted by level within each sort folder. They can be accessed by pressing any BT button when inside the folder selection screen.
  • Four new folders added: FLOOR contest, Rank, Clear mark, and Agetta moratta (the latter is for MÚSECA crossovers added throughout the Agetta moratta event).
  • You can now select a random song in a folder by pressing 3 on the numeric keypad.
  • Character result screens added. Characters appearing are based on your current crew; if no crew was selected, random characters appear instead.
    • You can make custom GENESIS CARDs based on the results screen by pressing 9 on the numeric keypad. These are known as "TRACK MEMORIAL" cards. Costs one additional credit.
  • Songs licensed from major doujin labels are now added to the game.
  • Certain FX notes now play sound effects upon being pressed. These FX notes are yellow-colored compared to the regular orange ones.
  • The in-game song and artist ticker is now placed below the player matching box.
  • Effector and illustrator credits are now also shown on the player matching screen before a track.
  • You can now sort songs by artist.
  • Hi-SPEED setting limit increased from 7.0 to 8.0.
  • The headphone volume range has been expanded from 1-8 to 1-10.
  • New play mode introduced: GENERATOR BLASTER.
  • On LIGHT START or GENERATOR LIGHT START, charts you cannot play on a certain stage are now restricted instead of hidden.
  • Data carrying over from SOUND VOLTEX III GRAVITY WARS are ID, player name, song unlocks, scores, Appeal/Genesis cards, Navigator crew, Blc/Pc boosters, Blc/Pc exchanges and BLASTER BARRIER HP.
    • SKILL ANALYZER level, titles, scores, BLASTER GAUGE status, BLOCKS and PACKETS do not carry over.
  • SKILL ANALYZER returns on December 28th, 2016.
    • It is now not a mode anymore but a song folder that you can access on first stage only.
    • Each skill level is strictly based around charts with the following difficulty ratings:
      • Skill LEVEL 01: Level 6 or 7 charts.
      • Skill LEVEL 02: Level 7 or 8 charts.
      • Skill LEVEL 03: Level 9 or 10 charts.
      • Skill LEVEL 04: Level 10 or 11 charts.
      • Skill LEVEL 05: Level 12 or 13 charts.
      • Skill LEVEL 06: Level 14 charts.
      • Skill LEVEL 07: Level 15 charts.
      • Skill LEVEL 08: Level 15 or 16 charts.
      • Skill LEVEL 09: Level 16 charts.
      • Skill LEVEL 10: Level 17 charts.
  • INFINITE difficulty's color has been changed from a rainbow hue to purple.
  • Menu time was extended by 10 seconds on December 22nd, 2016.
  • From December 22nd, 2016, difficulty restrictions per stage on LIGHT START mode, without any SKILL ANALYZER courses played, work as follows:
    • First stage: can play up to Level 16 songs (Level 10 if played without an e-AMUSEMENT PASS).
    • Second stage: can play up to Level 18 songs (Level 16 if played without an e-AMUSEMENT PASS).
    • Final stage: no restrictions.
  • In the songlist menu, when you sort by date, songs will be separated by horizontal lines per update batch.
