Sana

When I was suddenly asked to "sing this song", it wasn't because you didn't have time to ask someone else, right?
When I heard the demo, I felt that it was better sung by a man, but it wasn't made for men, right?
But then I actually tried to sing it, and strangely I gradually started to like "Quilt" more~.

Des-ROW

This story is from a long time ago, so I don't remember how I created it anymore, but various people did their best.
In particular, wakkk worked hard on various things.
That's it! I remember that he selfishly changed my melody, but that's alright.
I remember completing it at a tight schedule under last moment circumstances. Gehehe
When it comes to the soundtrack, I want to properly remix and perfect it.
That's why I like this song.

PON

I'm PON from the rhythm team!
This is my first time collaborating without arranging anything, but it was an enjoyable and valuable experience.
This song also appears in jubeat, and it feels like a festival!!

When I received the first demo from my senior Des, it was an avant-garde song that wac and I looked at each other and said, "is, is brass going to be included in here!".
Gulp... I swallowed raw saliva.
I chugged it, as people say.

Well, we didn't use brass.

The rhythm team remade it based on Des' drum section, and worked carefully using a PON-like approach while maintaining a Des-like essence, such as intense fills and halftime.
The bass also fully uses a Des sense, which I enjoyed using the bass boost & bright timbres, so what do you think?
In the end, 8-beats is simple and supreme after all, so I felt satisfied.
When playing it, it's fun to imagine us appearing in turns!

Hello everyone. I was in charge of playing the guitar and stuff.
The production time was short, so I'm deeply impressed to see people wearing glasses helping out with various things.

TOMOSUKE

It's me....
This was during a boring afternoon.
I braced myself with an anxious look and slowly plucked flower petals one at a time, saying "Rhodes" and "piano".
When I plucked the last petal while absentmindedly saying "Rhodes", I suddenly looked up and saw a man wearing glasses standing there.
All he said was "well, the Rhodes solo...", and quickly left without adjusting his misaligned glasses.
I remember such event like a dream.

I made this with my wonderful friends.

The representative staff member of each game series probably works alone until their song is perfectly completed, but this was a competitive project between each game series! I guess I got too excited about it.
All six pop'n staff members gathered together to make one song, which is somewhat embarrassing, so it's a very inefficient song.

People say that we don't really know who's doing what, but they're assigned to their respective roles as mentioned above.
Well, I generally work on other things.
My initially envisioned role was as a director or planner, and I thought that if I could assign roles to everyone at work, it'd be completed while I was taking a nap, but before I knew it, I had to face various difficulties in tears.

Below is a brief story of how "Quilt" was made

MUSCLE and Shoccho told me to "work on a collaborative project. Make a song for it" → Well, let's ask Des for a pop'n song. Can you please do it? → D "OK. I'll make a demo. But I'm busy, so 96 will play the guitar" → If 96 is participating, let's do something like a collaboration with everyone → Des' demo arrives → Wow, It's too avant-garde, I don't get it at all, and there's no melody → What will PON do? → P "I don't know at all" → Well, let's just sleep for now → Sho "well, there's one week left until the deadline" → Oh no, we haven't touched it yet → But the demo is still too difficult to get → Let's copy it by ear for now → Let's cut out the parts we don't get for now → Since it's better to end with a bang than a whimper, let's move the hook to the chorus → Oh no, there isn't a hook → Since the intro is cool, let's expand it into the hook → Well, D will add the melody → D "I added it" → An electric piano in the ending sounds nice. After all, I want it to be a collaboration with everyone. If there's an electric piano, then TOMOSUKE can play it. Well, let's have him play a Rhodes solo... → T "OK, I played it" → As expected of his skill. That's right, who's the vocalist? → Sana is the hottest pop'n-like vocalist here → OK, I'll secretly cater the melody to Sana → "Sana, please sing it tomorrow. By the way, I'll give you the demo tomorrow" → Sana graciously accepted it. Probably → Well, 96 will play the guitar while Sana is singing → PON, let's also do something. A red thread that meshes with a lonesome look... who's she waiting for?

Chihi

We received a lovely illustration from jubeat, and I made a pop'n character of her, which was an unprecedented process.
The deep blue to pink gradations, her fluffy hairstyle, and sad expressions, were all somehow in the jubeat illustrations from the beginning.
I finished and included her braided hairstyle accent, her beautiful hair color representing jubeat knit's theme color, and her detailed outfit. This kind of backstory is somewhat lovely too!

I was extremely worried about whether her outfit should be a knit or quilt, but it eventually resulted in a slightly frayed dress.
If her outfit was a quilt, her name will certainly be "quilt". It's great that pop'n is easy to understand.

Everyone collectively blamed me for her slightly "huh" LOSE animation, and when I was about to stop, the director masaru suddenly came over, said

"Don't quit"

And patted my back, I'll never forget it!

I wonder if it's embarrassing to just have leggings after all... I suddenly thought. I eventually added shorts, which I didn't plan to do.
I'm really glad I added it.
I feel relieved now.

Lovely songs from each game series were gathered from MUSCLE's call, and I laughed when it was obvious that pop'n had too many people involved. Isn't it mean to call the helpers Gian and Shizu? But, GJ!
I was initially worried about how the song will turn out from this combination... no, my heart was pounding with anticipation, but the melancholic and sweet singing voice, and intense guitar came together very nicely!
The character design was also a collaboration with the jubeat team, and it was very interesting. Thank you very much for all your support! knit is quiet on the outside, but I wonder~ if she's a girl with intense thoughts hidden inside her.

Also, speaking of "Des-Sana", I remember "Pray to the stars!". Congratulations for about 7 years! That's right. I also pray to the stars that people who requested for that duo are hopefully~ listening to this song☆ミ
