General Information / Changes
- Open Pick charts introduced.
- DARK modifier added.
- First games with unlock events.
- First games featuring separate EXTRA/ENCORE STAGEs for STANDARD and BONUS TRACK modes.
- Starting with this game, both series share the same web site. It's also the first web site to credit who made each video.
- GUITARFREAKS 7thMIX is the first game when both players can play the same Guitar chart (much like the old BATTLE MODE), instead of having different charts for each player.
- Asaki makes his BEMANI debut.
