- November 7th to 9th, 2014.
- Release date: November 20th, 2014.
General Information / Changes
- FX and BT notes, both short and long ones, can now overlap. The FX notes have been made thinner as a result.
- Analog chains can start from anywhere and not just from the extremities of the chart lane anymore.
- Analog chains can now extend outside of the chart lane as well.
- New analog effects have also been added.
- You can now change the colors of the analog chain lines. There are four available colors: Blue, Pink, Green and Yellow.
- Both analog chain lines can be set to have the same color.
- EARLY/LATE indicators for timing judgment have been added. They work in the same way as in the beatmania IIDX and DanceDanceRevolution series.
- At the song result screen, it is possible to see how many EARLY and LATE "NEARs" you have hit.
- You can now change the Hi-SPEED value more accurately by pressing the START button twice.
- The maximum Hi-SPEED value has been increased from 6.0 to 7.0.
- By pressing the 6 button while holding the START button, you can permanently save your desired scrolling speed (the Hi-SPEED x BPM value), which will be shown in red below the current Hi-SPEED value.
- Songs can be sorted into additional new categories:
- SOUND VOLTEX game (BOOTH, infinite infection, and GRAVITY WARS).
- Cleared songs.
- ULTIMATE CHAIN cleared songs.
- PERFECT cleared songs.
- Charts by individual levels.
- Portions of certain charts will cause the entire chart to shake, zoom in and out, or be temporarily viewed from above.
- Each SKILL ANALYZER level now has three courses to choose from, instead of just one. New groups are added every month.
- SKILL ANALYZER courses can now have Nettou! BEMANI Stadium (熱闘!BEMANIスタジアム) event songs.
- Player can no logner vote for new waves of SKILL ANALYZER courses.
- A new difficulty equivalent to the INFINITE difficulty, called GRAVITY (GRV), has been added. GRAVITY charts have an orange hue.
- Cabinets can now have a real time Appeal Card printer, named SOUND VOLTEX GENERATOR -REAL MODEL-, which launched on March 11th, 2015. It is currently only available in Japan.
- To start printing an Appeal Card, one has to choose a GENERATOR START mode (either LIGHT or STANDARD), which cost double their normal counterparts. They can then choose the card collection to print one card from.
- A new clear gauge, the ALTERNATIVE RATE SYSTEM, was added during the game's location tests, but not added in the final release until March 11th, 2015. It is only accessible via GENERATOR (STANDARD) START.
- This rate style starts off with the EXCESSIVE RATE gauge, and will change to an empty EFFECTIVE RATE gauge if it goes to 0%. This allows play to continue if normally one were to fail under EXCESSIVE RATE.
- It is possible to spin for more than one Appeal Card at a time, up to a maximum of 10 cards per spin. However, only one per spin can be selected/unlocked, and the odds of spinning already unlocked cards increase.
- When playing through GENERATOR START, these cards will not appear again.
- It is possible to filter songs while in the track input selection screen.
- Clear Rates, Skill Levels, Shining Grade bonus and existing PACKET and BLOCK counts have been reset.
- Most SOUND VOLTEX II -infinite infection- charts are now cheaper to purchase. However, unlock requirements (if any) are still present.
- If requirements for a certain chart were met in the past but the chart was not purchased, they have to be redone.
- Charts that require it to appear in the FINAL TRACK and/or be played can be purchased immediately, except for the EXHAUST charts of Harpuia, Black Emperor and Innocent Tempest.
- Timing adjustment options were introduced on December 4th, 2014. They can be changed in the matchmaking screen by holding the START button and pressing 3 (to set the timing early) or 9 (to set the timing later). The offset value is colored blue in the in-game UI.
- First SOUND VOLTEX game with a MISSION unlock system.
- New songs: 58
- Total songs: 541
