General Information / Changes
- Enhanced interface, along with the addition of many song revivals.
- BASS charts, which have been around since GUITARFREAKS 3rdMIX, are finally given individual ratings.
- First games to support e-AMUSEMENT.
- First game in the series to feature a licensed Bonus Track.
- Last game in the series to feature an upgraded version with new songs added.
- BRANCH and REVERSE modifiers are introduced.
- With the release of the newer PS2 games, GUITARFREAKS 8thMIX & drummania 7thMIX are the only installments in the classic GuitarFreaks & DrumMania franchise between GUITARFREAKS 5thMIX & drummania 4thMIX and GUITARFREAKS 11thMIX & drummania 10thMIX to have all of their licenses on CS GuitarFreaks & DrumMania games.
- This is the first GF/DM game with original Hirofumi Sasaki songs where he did not compose one of the EXTRA/ENCORE STAGE songs.
- Total songs: 116 (111 in both, 2 only in GUITARFREAKS, 3 only in drummania)
