• First GuitarFreaks & DrumMania game to use the EXTRA RUSH unlocking system.

EXTRA STAGE

Since GuitarFreaks V & DrumMania V, the EXTRA STAGE system works the same way, see this page for the requirements.

At the launch of the game, over there and Micro fin were the EXTRA STAGE songs and Purple storm was the ENCORE STAGE. As time went on, new songs were added via e-AMUSEMENT when the EXTRA RUSH LEVEL (EXTRA LV) was raised. The PREMIUM STAGE was added to the game on December 22nd, 2006. During EXTRA LV 6, the difficulty of the PREMIUM STAGE was locked to EXTREME charts only.

New to this game, each EXTRA LV reduce the % of Perfects required in order to unlock the song into Standard play. The color background indicate at which stage the song can be found for each EXTRA LV: a pink background is for the EXTRA STAGE, orange for ENCORE and PREMIUM is red. A green background denotes that at this EXTRA LV, the song was unlocked for everyone to play.

The % in the table refers to the % of Perfects needed in GuitarFreaks and that number minus 2% for DrumMania on the specified song without using any Auto modes in order to unlock the song in Standard Mode. However, when the word "Play" is used in the table instead, the song only have to be played in order to be unlocked into Standard play.

CHARA BATTLE

The players have to defeat 12 characters from the game in order to unlock the songs. Each time a character is defeated by the player, a song will be unlocked.

Selected revived songs from older titles can also be unlocked by this event:
